I wouldn't ditch your CASH just yet. The price is low now, but if it is ever revived, well the block reward decreases exponentially as the difficult rises. What do you think will happen to the difficulty and block reward when an army of scrypt ASICs gets pointed at it?
Just added 1.3 Mhash on cash and will add another 1.65Mhash when I come back from the shop with some new power leads and I'll hold half of it off the market, should raise the difficulty a bit and get a few more off the Cryptsy and see what happens. ANyone else have some ASICS they want to put on Cash to raise the difficulty which willlower the rate of coins mined each day? |

It's odd to me that BitJohn would back this coin and then just let it die and look like another cheap ScamCoin.
I've PM'd him but no response. Cryptsy has a good rep; this behavior really surprises me.

Does anyone have the keys to change the CASH protocol?
Bryan Kelly stopped PoW short on his Nautilus Coin at 4 million instead of 16 million and went straight to PoS phase just 2 days ago. The result was a huge price increase for the coin.
Do we have a programmer here who can alter the protocol so we can stop the current inflation and go to phase 2 which should be just PoS?
Nobody had any issues with NAUT doing it and its's a very respected coin and developer, why not follow their lead.

We have the source code, to change the protocol we would need someone to modify the code, create a new wallet, set up a new check point server and get the exchanges and pools to agree to update the wallet and then do a hard fork, so it certainly possible, but beyond my programming ability |

On my side, I had to stop mining it because my HVAC stopped working, ...... but I've made a lot more of money trading it than mining it Trading it? Now there's an idea. Too bad I chased it all the way up to 1800 Satoshi. So you talk to John? That's a big bonus. I sent him a PM asking if he still backs CASH and I got nothing back. Can you ask him if he's still mining it or if he still thinks it's a good coin? Would be a nice break given the dev is MIA. Thanks. |

He told me not only that he will not stop mining it,.... but he add that it's often his fault if my buy order are always overbid!!! lol He's buying as much as he can because he know that CASH will hold an important place in the crypto scene!! He then add that anything below 10 000 Satoshi is really cheap compare to what it will be in a near future!  He didn't want to tell me much, but he said to me that I should grab as much as I can afford and hold on it!  IMHO the fact that the dev do not appear often is probably part of the plan to keep the price low and buy a lot of it at ridiculous price!! The dev almost never show up, but the check point server is always updated,..... so he's doing a good job to keep the coin in working order he must have a reason to do that!! BitJohn as never scammed me in the past and I think he's in a very good position to give good advice about crypto,.... so i'll take his word and buy as much as I can!! |

No man, I really appreciate you sharing this info, few are that unselfish but he gave you a lot of info which is very surprising. Now if you're on a first name basis with him then that makes sense but I wish someone else could confirm this.
There's just so many pumpers out there lying their asses off all the time.
Anyway, thank you and I hope you're right cause I too think CASH is a steal at 400 Sats price (less than half if 1 penny). I wish I hadn't paid 1800 for my share but that's still a good deal if what you're saying is true.

A lot of thought went into CASH when I decided to move forward with the project. There is no premine and no instamine so Im working solely on my own funds and that of a few kind users who have donated to the fund
We are still working on our marketing campaign and are really in no major rush. We have more than enough hashpower to secure the network and stake will be active within a few weeks.
If you doubt my understanding of Proof of stake I am always willing to answer any questions you have. But please don't fill the community's head with baseless accusations. I will be here and will develop this coin for the long run. I do not pump out coins every week and can assure you myself and the rest of the development team are devoted solely to this project and this project alone.
I was reading some old posts and this one gave me a chuckle. The first part is true, this coin was done right but the second part is starting to look like a crude joke. Hopefully, I'm proven wrong about this [soon]. |
