wish i knew if everyone at crypsy was going to dump or withdraw. Huh if/when they get it together..

I am hoping for a dump, But its hard to know exactly what to expect. I have buy orders on cryptsy+bitt going down to 250, I am hoping that we get a crash that fills those orders and gives me some cheap coins. After the exchanges come back and the network is humming along like it should, I see no reason why the coin won't start climbing in value, as people start to realize that you can and currently are earning way more than the 5%/apr people should start flooding into pot to stake it.

I bought a few myself on Cryptsy, and I will definitely be staking them once I can withdraw.

How many? If you want, I can send you some coins for an internal transfer at cryptsy. I don't have much actively staking, but I am willing to help a brother out Smiley

Around 400k on Cryptsy, but I am good, once they have it ready I will withdraw and stake.

Potcoin has held pretty stable value for a very long time and is the first Potcoin, even with selling pressure from mining, so with some decent marketing I think it should have a bright future without much risk.

Agreed on the bright future. The move to POSv stabilizes and fixes the inflation rate, it also gives legal weed shops a reason and incentive to hold, stake and transact in the coin. It is much easier to get someone to hold and support a coin when they get paid interest for doing so, especially without the overhead of POW to keep the network moving.

Its been 14 hours and Im not able to stak "because I dont have mature coins" WHAT THE HELL?

The network is finally getting up to full speed. Pay close attention to your balance because it will likely go from not staking to not staking because it just staked the balance AGAIN.
The info that part of the wallet gives has been a bit wonky, it should clear up and be more accurate once we get rolling along.

I see, how long would this process take? cuz 8 hours was like 7 hours ago.

Seems like I have 157 more blocks to go before I can begin to stak. But I rectified,  that last reward was 25 hours ago, its 11 am not 11 pm.

This is the part I am trying to wrap my head around. We have a maturity time of 8 hours, but we have been seeing 1/4th and now about 1/2 of the blocks/day we should.
All I can figure is that the 8hour maturity is time based while the 260 confirmations is blocks, so if it takes longer than 8 hours to get those 260 blocks your eligible for a stake as soon as the wallet realizes that you are. Because of the slow network, though it is speeding up, we can expect what should be 2.5 hours to be at least 5 right now before a staked block is spendable.
I have seen this same thing happen with my wallet, it takes like 20 hours to get enough confirmations for that new stake to be spendable and before I can blink it starts staking again.

Yeah, that 0.4xxx is your stake for that block. Each payout is going to vary based on several factors that are always changing.
The main ones I can think of are, the coin age of the staked coins, the total network supply, the # of coins actively staking.

Your first payout was much much larger because of the coin age when your minted your first block. The longer you go between stakes the larger that staked interest payment will be when you do stake a block.

POSv is designed so that by staking 24/7 you take advantage of compound interest. If 100% of coins are staking you can earn up to 6%/year by staking 24/7, the fewer coins actively staking, the higher your personal interest will be. I would leave it on 24/7 if you can, take advantage of the times when fewer coins are online.

No worries. We were all in the same boat at one time or another, trying to understand exactly how POS works, what to expect, etc.
