@bf4btc, sorry, this is your second post in here (POT-Community), with a second attempt of yours, mentioning an different Coin, than the the one you are in HERE ! Pls. excuse me, beeing a newbie
>500 Post and nothing heard about POT ? ... this is hard 2 believe ^^ .
xD PK
With over 1000 crypto-coins its not hard to understand that I'm not up to date with every one out there. Give it some time and you'll know what I mean. When POT came out, it was right in the time of an altcoin explosion. There were coins for everything... sexcoin, bitcoin2, tie-your-shoes-with-your-toes-coin... anything someone could tie a name to and try to premine and sell. I got on POT because it was a great niche idea in a sea of horrible niche ideas. If you weren't in on POT from the very beginning, it would be easy to overlook it now with all the other coins out there. I could see how someone could have missed it. The same could be said with every other coin listed in the altcoin section of this forum. There's just too many to keep track of, and new ones come out every week. As far as POT goes, it's a long hold coin dependent on adoption. Grab a little while the price is cheap, and let it collect interest for a while. Don't sink your entire bankroll into it expecting to triple in a few weeks. There are a lot of roadblocks that need to be cleared for it to trade at it's historical prices again. -Fuse Thanks Fuse. That was a well articulated answer and was what I was looking for. I think I actually invested in TYSWYT coin but ended up losing big time because I sadly was new and did what all newbies do. I sunk my whole bankroll into it. Today I'm a different trader. A wiser trader, a better trader. I'll be picking up a few potcoin over the coming months. No need to rush into it now like a newbie, I'll just slowly accumulate and see where we are at the end of the year. Thanks again for taking the time to give me a good explanation and I look forward to being here more often now. FLOZ AND POT to the moon. ... read your own "Footer = Troll" , "piss off with your SPAM" I´d say, but some people are so very polite (thx ny2cafuse) ! PK (only Newbie, but unpolite 2 Scammers, Frauders and Spammers!) P.S. I guess you are only dreaming of your daily personal doze of POT - go ask your NSA-Leader 4 it ! Sorry you feel that way. I just got into weed coins and Im checking them all out. You are a newbie here anyway so unless you are going to tell me why POTcoin is a good investment I probably wont be listening to you.

Try including an extra "add" at the end of your command and also remove the "=" so it looks like this: addnode 162.243.214.135 addDon't ask me why you need the extra "add" at the end I just know it works for some clients. And the "=" is only needed if you're using a .conf file. If you add them directly through the console like you're trying to do, I don't think it needs the "="

How many connections does it say you have? You might try checking the firewall on your system and or router and make sure that the wallet is able to get connected to the outside world.

Potcoin has now been added the CoinWallet.co online wallet service. https://www.coinwallet.coRunning since 2013. As always use online wallets with caution and store the majority of your coins in cold storage or a secure / encrypted wallet on your computer. Coinwallet.co serves as an easy to use and accessible wallet that you can access with just an internet connection. Handy to aggregate your mining income or have a small amount of coins accessible when you don't have access to your main wallet. Free deposits. 0.5% fee on withdrawals.

Try using a .conf file instead of adding nodes directly to the console. First open this folder: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Potcoin Then create an empty text document and enter as many lines for nodes as you want, with one node per line. They should be in the format: addnode=www.xxx.yyy.zzz Here is a short list of some nodes I found in my 30 second search, I have no idea if these are still valid: addnode=162.243.214.135 addnode=213.95.21.24 addnode=88.198.110.120 addnode=91.121.85.62 addnode=188.226.135.210 addnode=162.243.227.221 addnode=5.255.66.44 addnode=23.253.70.235 addnode=162.243.224.78 addnode=172.245.21.210 addnode=162.242.156.243 addnode=209.141.39.184 addnode=23.253.74.25 addnode=23.21.136.204 When you have all the nodes you want, save the file as potcoin.conf and close it. Then run the Potcoin client, and hopefully you will get synced. No need to do anything with the console.

That sounds like a firewall problem, I can't imagine there are no nodes available at all.

The staking "reward" -to call it something quite outrageous, frankly- is the 5% that you can read on the OP of this thread. I take you know how to do simple math... 5% per year. That's the long and the short of it. Now what is really baffling is why on earth would you be interested in POT, a "coin" going absolutely nowhere, without dev, without direction and with only a small group of total losers pretending -somewhere else- otherwise. But hey, go for it if that's what you want... I just gave it to you as straight as it comes.

just tried to setup the potcoin wallet, done a bootstrap thing and it still got stuck at about 12 weeks..ok I'm not the best with computers but I think people need a wallet that you just have to press 1 button..no changing nodes and adding bootstraps....ok complaining over...could someone write a dummy proof way of getting the potcoin wallet working, i want to get my coins of the exchanges and start staking....cheers

Barabbas, You funny as fuck XPY fanboy! Just go back to fastest exchange on enternetz - Crypsy, and never return here Any particular reason why I should "go back" to Cryptsy? I am more of a Bittrex kind of guy but I do have an account at Cryptsy too... As for XPY, I have traded it a number of times... with mixed results but hardly a fan boy... although I'll be the first to admit that i find Garza's level of idiocy quite buffling. And, case in point, surprising and humongous levels of if idiocy here -and in crypto in general- are more the norm than the exception... as you just evidenced.
