They have not the propotional way of the dependence so if BTC is going up, altcoins are going down and vice versa. I don't like it but it helps to predict prices.

I have conducted a case study and noticed that during the period when BTC prices increased, the most reliable altcoin prices also increased. Now such influence exists and is quite strong. BTC significantly affects the prices of most of the altcoins and the general conditions of the crypto market.

No one doubts this here, because the price of BTC definitely influences how altcoins behave. I am sure that everyone understands this today and when no one knows exactly when it ends, but everything has its beginning and its end.

There are a lot of disagreements about this effect and I agree that it has in the majority the negative effect. I am sure that this connection will be broken soon.

There are 2 situation in which the movement of the market, under favourable conditions. The first is the decrease of bitcoin prices and the increase in the prices of altcoins, all natural, all sell bitcoin and buy altcoins. The second is the movement on the contrary, when the growing bitcoin and altcoins are falling. But again, this is under ideal conditions, but in our market many factors that put pressure on the market. So you need to watch the market and start to invest or trade based on the current situation on the market.

that's right, and the effect is always uncertain because last year when the price of bitcoin rose for altcoin prices tend to fall, and yesterday this year the price of bitcoin rose and the price of altcoin also rose, and now all prices are still stuck there is no big movement until now.

I think it would be better to say that the price of Bitcoin has an impact on the entire market. Bitcoin is the number one indicator, and the higher its price, the more attention to the market and the more attractive it is for investors.

Bitcoin is the leading coin in the cryptocurrency market and the level of capitalization is much higher than the nearest competitors. It is because of this that if Bitcoin falls, then altcoins fall and Vice versa.

Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?

Of course bitcoin will set up the overall tendency at the crypro market due to its powerful influence. People might not know about the existence of other digital coins but everybody heard about a bitcoin unless they live on Mars.

if you look closely at Bitcoin and Ethereum, then Ethereum is much more profitable economic position in the market and the more it is in demand for practical application. But for some reason, it is Bitcoin that greatly affects the entire cryptocurrency market. I think that this trend needs to be changed.

Yes its true that bitcoin has a big influence on market, because we call it digital gold its normal that people will exchange their other altcoins to bitcoin to secure their side. When you compare altcoins prize changes it is more dramatic. so When you compare to others bitcoin is a little safer for prize drop

We can only assume and rely on and compare charts of past months and years. One thing is certain, when bitcoin drops all coins drop when bitcoin grows dramatically, all the coins are falling, if bitcoin is flat, then all the violas grow.

Crypto is a relatively small market and there is high correlation between BTC and other coins. During this bearish market BTC dominance was increasing as it is the most trusted coin on the market.

The rise or fall of bitcoin prices has a huge effect on altcoins. Keep in mind, that altcoin is very dependent on bitcoin. Bitcoin is the main guide for the development of altcoins. Altcoin will increase if the value of bitcoin also increases, and vice versa. The value of bitcoin is also based on various aspects and is very easily affected by the surrounding environment. The better the news about crypto, the easier it will be for bitcoin to rise.

Bitcoin isn the market leader and the best know crypto coin in the world. Therefore, it is natural that the entire market follows bitcoin both up and down.

I wonder when this tendency to follow Bitcoin end and altcoins will soar on their own. Bitcoin is the father of crypto but other coins have just as good development teams and deserve their independent existence.

I am really into the said belief of many that bitcoin really has adverse effects when it comes to the prices of the altcoins. So I am afraid that will still be the norm for many years to come. I would like to see a coin that cannot be affected by fluctuations of bitcoin and can stand on its own.

Yes, Bitcoin has a very strong influence on the entire cryptocurrency market, since most of the coins you buy for Bitcoin.
