Beware, do not build on ethereum or you may face a trademark lawsuit! This is a centralized coin that only benefits vitally and friends!

In this case, dozens projects that are already working on Ethereum blockchain could be affected.

Correct, many will need to pay royalties, licenses or close. Their license to build on ethereum will be revoked at any time!

The trademarks are on the name "Ethereum" and it's logo.

Does this have anything to do with the Blockchain.

Nope, it just Troll's posting nonsense on this ANN again Grin

Stop talking nonsense, only one business has issue with this trademark infringement as an opposing coin Cheesy

It common practice for programming or coding companies too Trademark their names.

It does not prevent smaller or other businesses building stuff for that platform, otherwise their would be no apps on Linux OS's or Microsoft OS's or Apple OS's.

Certifications, is the process where businesses pay for enhanced marketing or seal of approval from that bigger business.

Consequently, in the future a business may go to the Ethereum Foundation and ask for a Certification process to help them market their product or service on their platform. But, that must a decade or two away, because it is associated with companies who have been existence for over 10 years.

For the past few weeks, I have been researching the history of Ethereum since its inception in November 2013 (the Ethereum Whitepaper).  Five chapters are in rough draft at the moment:

0 - Initial History of Ethereum (Nov 2013 - 22nd Jan 2014)                            4 pages
1 - Announcement of Ethereum (23rd Jan 2014 - 21st Jul 2014)                    10 pages
2 - Fundraising Began (22nd Jul 2014 - 12th Nov 2014)                                6 pages
3 - Ethereum ÐΞVCON-0 in Berlin (13th Nov 2014 - 31st Dec 2014)              6 pages
4 - Progress towards the Genesis Block (1st Jan 2015 - 30th of July 2015)     4 pages

These chapter titles are still preliminary.  Chapter 5 (the sixth chapter!) will be titled "Ethereum Blockchain Launched (Frontier)".  I already have a rough timeline of many milestones after the launch of Frontier including DEVcon 1, the Homestead release, the DAO coverage and the fork of the blockchain (Ethereum Classic).

Here is the cover of the book:

I am working tirelessly and diligently to get it finished by FEB/MARCH this year.  I have spent hours compiling history from different sources and cross referencing dates.  If you would like to help me, please donate to:

the DAO coverage and the fork of the blockchain (Ethereum Classic).

The forking of the blockchain resulted in Ethereum Fork (ETHF). It was forked off the main branch Ethereum Classic (ETHC).

Why do you keep posting this nonsense: the exchanges have this coin named as ETH and Ethereum.

The website is:
https://www.ethereum.org/

See, there is no "F" anywhere to be seen.

You may want to imagine there is a "F" at the end, but you are the only one posting and using this nonsense Grin

Actually they are simply bumping this thread.
(Maybe they are also competing for ignore list champion.)

Wrong again bitpop.  All that TradeBlock is doing is categorizing there.  The actual tickers used by all those exchanges (polo, bitfinix, kraken, bittrex, etc.) ALL USE ETH FOR ETHEREUM AND ETC FOR ETHEREUM CLASSIC. Becoin is the only one trying to get the real Ethereum labeled as "ETHF".  It's fun watching though.  Like the one derp who tries to start the crowd clapping, but no one follows and he just looks like a chump. I cant really trust in Vitalik again, not after that fork. The original spirit of ETH remains in ETC and the community behind it.

@devs

Honestly I hold very little PPC but I am a fan of Sunny King's hybrid POS/POW solution; the hardware adds an unprecedented level of security while the guys running said hardware promote it relentlessly driving the value up.

No, that is just a subjective opinion.

You can find just as many people who are more likely too trust VB.
