How will it impact Ethereum pricing?
will price fall harder or we can see next ATH?
A fork again ? i think the price of ethereum will fall down before it like bitcoins before the segwit.Hopefully after that it will go back and recover to its ATH .

This is not the same kind of fork as before. The previous one was intended to roll back the blockchain to "undo" the DAO hack, while this one is kind of a mandatory upgrade of the protocol to support new features.

It is a positive change, and chain is not splitting. See it as an upgrade, not a fork.

Mandatory? I thought in the decentralized world things are voluntary.

A better phrase would be "necessary" if the so called new features are indeed good and improve on the other things.

But nobody is holding a gun at people's heads and forcing them to do anything. This is a voluntary world, free of coercion.

Maybe the "mandatory" word is misleading. It's like people need to upgrade in order to use the new features. Or my understanding is wrong.

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

IG Group to Offer Ethereum Trading for Clients, Clients trading Ethereum via IG Group will be able to do so without assuming a number of risks typically associated with buying and storing it. The crypto industry is littered with myriad examples of exchanges that have gone under or dark, with information and accounts being compromised en masse.

hi,

I am trying to use the myetherwallet.com and have couple of questions....

I have the myetherwallet.com on my offline computer to generate keys and transactions to be submit on the online computer.

1. At "new wallet" you need to choose a passwd. Let say If I want to generate 10 private keys, do I need to choose everytime a diffrent passwd? Is this passwd only for encryption the privatekey or is it also a part of the seed hoe key is calculated? I mean is it save to choose the same passwd everytime assuming I never expose the passwd as I only use it on the offline computer?

2. When sepnding, I can make sign it offline and then broadcast on the online pc, is it save to spend an small amount everytime and reuse the private key on the offline compute?  So actualy have only one privatekey? Or is it like bitcoin beter to spend everything at once and actualy sweep it?

Thanks,
Sam

Ethereum is back in the game finally after taking some break. We will see lot of people talking good things now as price is on increase constantly. I think this time with upcoming updates and releases $2000 is target to get in next rally which is on the edge of start with this small warm up. It is good our patience is rewarding us now.

Now a very big Project, and let's wait for a real prospect of IPO and let's see exactly what's really being offered. And desperately in need of some remarkable form.

Hi Sam.

1) IMHK, the password is just for encryption of your private key. So I don't see why you won't be able to use the same password for multiple ETH accounts even if it's not the safest way to go. If you choose to do so, would you rather consider creating multiple wallet contracts on the same account for conveniency ?

2) The main reason I see why Bitcoin Core Wallet is encouraging you to create a new wallet for each transaction is for anonymity (more than for safety). I can't see why you would be much safer using a new address each and every time (especially if you use the same password to encrypt all the private keys).

Thanks a lot !

Hi mmfiore !

There was a pre-sale to fund the development in 2014 (so before the genesis block was minted). You will find the blog post annoucing the presale here.

There is lot to come out next month and I already started to buy Ethereum in small tranches. I am sure September is going to bring new all time highs for Ethereum as some people are calling autumn season of altcoins. If this is true Ethereum will be leading this rise of cryptomarkets next month with so many updates.

lol, shopping time Smiley
It is more probable to observe a price drop during shopping time imo

So in my opinion, a spike around november then drop in december.
