French insurance company AXA launches Fizzy, a new kind of flight delays insurance powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Sounds interesting. I always had the feeling that big guys will jump into ETH very quickly. Thus my hypothesis that ETH might reach 100 bn by the end of the year could turn out to be correct. That being said I will maintain my belief that it will hit 200$ before a new bullish rally, perhaps around Oct will start. It's the holiday season that I would be looking for a bullish market, it's usually when a lot of money is made.

The transaction was mined over 4 days ago. The receiving address (0xc5eD29e3986Fb408e29EB5FCD5C49923c264df24) has the sent funds, for over 4 days now. Sooo...what's the problem?

I got a coinbase question: I bought ETH on Coinbase last week straight from my bank account. You can lock in at the price it is currently, but yeah your coins are in limbo for ~7 days. My question is instead can i deposit from bank to USD on Coinbase and use that USD instantly on GDAX to get ETH? Or would I need to wait 7 days to use that USD on GDAX?

I do think many miners will switch to ETC mining after the Ethereum POS.

As a hodler who rarely buys or does anything except check charts and read news I had one of the most Ethereum days ever. Received airdrop OMG; swapped some of that to get some DGD; set up ledger wallets and metamask on my new laptop; won some eth on etheroll (first time playing). Fun day.

I don't like this. I have a sneaky suspicion that prices are going to take another major tank. Sell wall at 268.99 up for the past 30 minutes, and if these are whales trying to liquidate, they're going to drop the price soon. I really hope I'm wrong, but this has happened in the past.

Serious question here: how are you accounting for this as a matter of taxes? Are you listing this as a "dividend" on your ether hodlings? If so, are you using today's OMG price as the dividend value? Or are you treating this like a "stock split" and adjusting the cost basis of your ether downward? I see that I also have a Credo token. I don't haven't been following that and don't even know what that is. So, while the air drop is a very cool idea and I welcome it, I'm just not sure what do with it tax-wise. And, let me just head off tax-complaints. I understand and respect that some people have very strong views about the virtues and vices of governmental taxation. Assume for the purposes of this comment, that I'm interested in complying with US tax law regardless of its policy merit.

The last couple of days have been pretty ugly for ETH holders. I think the price will struggle around 250-270 for a long period, before will break out again and jump over 300$

As a Forex trader myself i can tell you that what the whales are doing is burning the price to the ground than buying it dirt cheap & so on, making profits selling the highs & making also another profit buying the lows. Some may have no experience at all when it comes to trading, not in Forex & not in cryptos. Forex traders are the most evil persons (sharks, whales, call them what you like) in this Crypto domain. Unlike Forex (since it so damn huge) Cryptos & some coins can be manipulated by couple of Whales only & can create the panic whenever they want to.

I assume that these big walls are put up by ICOs that want to convert to fiat or BTC while Ethereum is still above 250 $ per ETH. Probably Tezos or one of the other ICOs that raised a ton of funds and has no actual intention of keeping ETH for the long-term.

Probably yes, but if you want to keep eth, you'll be fine, the price will rise sooner or later for sure. I think there is nothing to worry about.

Exactly, these things are happening many times in the crypto market. We have to be very careful in the market with these whales other wise we are going to lose a lot of money with in short period of time.

The ether-US dollar exchange rate fell to a six-week low below $250 today as the mood in the markets soured and fears of a broader exchange crackdown in China were seemingly confirmed. However, while today's price decline appears to be a response to the news, ether's particular drop should not be a surprise for traders – the move was in line with the bearish technicals discussed earlier this week. As we've covered previously, China's decision to ban ICOs hurt ether the most as the vast majority of ICOs are launching tokens issued on top of the ethereum blockchain.
