ETH very badly feels, I really do not like that the ETH network is very often loaded ... what will happen when a lot of people really come to the market?
I feel the same way, I hope the ETH can return to normal and can be an idol for its users. let's get up together in developing ETH in a better direction. ETH must exist in all markets

Vitalik, what did you decide about sharding? Is it the best way to achieve scaleability? Will you implement it in Ethereum network?

We now have no one "main net" with sharding technology and people are still doubting a bit. Thank you.

There are shaking out weak hands who believes in everything they read. Now the way ETC is being promoted and hype has been create lot of people are going to short their ETH at this cheap rates. We have seen these things many time repeated over and over again for one or other project and this time Ethereum is target but nothing will change.

Many people are also selling bunch of Etherium from many ICO presales from past.

I think price of ETH will continue to go down, and I do not see recovery any time soon.

It also all depends on BTC situation, but many people turned to EOS now

Just ask yourself - Why would Vitastink sell all his shares already? You all think he is a genius. Why would he create more and more tokens to piggy back the network to a point of the network being bogged down and overpriced? Sounds like he had a plan from the start to me. For as much profit as he can create in the shortest time possible. Why would he use this mentality? I will tell you...He knows from the start the platform is there to fleece. Its not some save the planet currency tech he would have everyone believe. That is the pipe dream that drives his fortune. All of you holders waiting for another hey day may get your day still but will you be wise enough to do what Stink has already done? And to the guy who bought at 3 and 12 dollars and still holding - You really think you will see over 1000 dollars again? Ive heard the same BS about weak hands getting pushed out for far too long to have any stock left for it...Its just a pipe dream...You should have sold...

I can sell at anytime I want but I don't need or want too,  but that is not the point -  Ethereum is just a money making machine and it will easily get to over $1000 again
yes i am pretty sure too that eth price will go up to 1000$ again and that could be happens in this month
i am holding my eth and collecting more when price go down
now today its looks like eth price is going rise again slowlly, just checking on coinmarketcap chart

It is human nature to get ecstatic when prices are going up and depressed when price are going down. But in investment, if you believe in a company or project or coin, it is when prices are so depressed that it becomes a buying opportunity. Ethereum is one of the most solid crypto out there, I have no doubt it will rise again soon.

It is really hard to find the right reason for this down trend if that is true than why other projects are loosing their value even there is no ETH involved in it. This is all happening in every project around and I hope this situation will be over.

Most people who fell for that will actually regret doing that because there is no doubt ETH will get back. Is just matter of timing and other cryptocurrency in the market like Bitcoin

Projects are still selling ethereum (funds) so that's why ethereum is going down, market bleeding badly too but it's time to fill up bag with crypto assets.
I hope crypto market will be recover soon and also waiting for SEC statement. Otherwise i don't think so EOS performing well!  Undecided

EOS falls more than the Ethereum. Also I think that the Ethereum will rise faster than EOS.
However, I think that these two projects will bring profit.

here is something for you all to think about (this just my opinion):

ppl here talks a lot about smart money and waiting on the big investors to come into the market and about global adoption, i got to say i see them tottaly different from each other, big investors and smart money is the worst thing that will happen or happened for crypto as those ppl got 1 thing in mind is making money and thts a tottaly different from what we see or want from crypto. we wanted a financial freedom away from poltics and country borders while smart money and big investor want to opreat within those prameters and trust me when i say this they don't want to drive crypto to the top cas once it reached the top it will stall market same as gold and stock market which doesnot move much (chech the stock market yourself) so the more the stall the market is the less profitable it will become and the more capital will be needed to make profits, since those so called big invistors or smart money had their eyes on the crypto market it had become way more unstable and that's how they want it to be to make more money on the back of the average joe like me and you.the people runs most of the pharmaceutical companies don't spend or researches to find cures to actually cure ppl they do it cas when they do they know they will make a lot of money out of it sad but true fact (no including charity nonprofitable researcher so not to be confused).good ideas don't need a lot of money to get big it just need time.so if you an average joe who is here to make money i can almost guarantee you that you wont make tht much unless you lucky enough to catch one of those waves tht big money makers do.this market is been seen as a schem for ppl who owns few millions to throw around to make more money.

I think what is going on with ETH is basically what happened with ETH back in 2017.

People were buying ETH like crazy to invest in ICOs. Millions upon millions were invested and brought ETH from $7 to $1400 in a short period.

Now its basically the opposite. People lost 90% of their investment from those ICOs and they are doing the opposite, selling their crap ICO back for ETH and either keeping the ETH or selling it for BTC or fiat.

Hence the reason why there was a huge alt coin drop last weeks and BTC also suffered as a result of this.

https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/08/10/vitalik-buterin-proposes-consensus-algorithm-requires-1-honest

the idea behind comes from Satoshi himself but applied to txs instead of blocks.

I believe it'll be possible for a payment processing company to provide as a service the rapid distribution of transactions with good-enough checking in something like 10 seconds or less.

The network nodes only accept the first version of a transaction they receive to incorporate into the block they're trying to generate.  When you broadcast a transaction, if someone else broadcasts a double-spend at the same time, it's a race to propagate to the most nodes first.  If one has a slight head start, it'll geometrically spread through the network faster and get most of the nodes.

A rough back-of-the-envelope example:
1         0
4         1
16        4
64        16
80%      20%

So if a double-spend has to wait even a second, it has a huge disadvantage.

The payment processor has connections with many nodes.  When it gets a transaction, it blasts it out, and at the same time monitors the network for double-spends.  If it receives a double-spend on any of its many listening nodes, then it alerts that the transaction is bad.  A double-spent transaction wouldn't get very far without one of the listeners hearing it.  The double-spender would have to wait until the listening phase is over, but by then, the payment processor's broadcast has reached most nodes, or is so far ahead in propagating that the double-spender has no hope of grabbing a significant percentage of the remaining nodes.

EDIT: uups, accidental revealed a new candiate for Satoshi Nakamoto (no, not Vitalik).

This crisis can end in autumn, the price fell due to a decrease in capitalization - now there is no sense to talk about the reasons, this is the market and it tends to fluctuate. I believe that ETH  with time will be +1000$ again.
