If you really wanna bet on ethereum, consider instead legit projects without ethereum's rubbish, such as ARK (today +10% and set to grow until end of week)
or ETC

dPoS is bad, without PoW it is impossible, decentralization is lost in ARK, XRP, XLM, EOS, NEO, TRX and same other

and ETC is vulnerable to attack 51 of Nicehash crypto51.app

What's so special to PoW? Even Ethereum wants to fork away from it. PoW is asking for a lot (initial hardware cost, energy cost, environmental cost, risky ROI which depends on future products) and offers little in return (safer network if it's a top 10 coin). As you said, a coin with PoW which is not very high in price will be left vulnerable to attacks, like ETC.

So far ARK is doing fine with its decentralization, I don't know what are you talking about.
As for XRP, it's not dPoS, there are many validators and they're growing! Among the validators are Ripple (ofcourse), University of Nicosia, Berkeley University of California, some exchanges or at least one I can see in the list and many more... full list here: https://xrpcharts.ripple.com/#/validators

For XLM, EOS, NEO and TRX, I have not researched it and cannot discuss it.

EOS froze the coins of one of the bloggers with suspicion of questionable origin. So what can be done on any coin with no PoW

and if they impose sanctions and freeze all the money of the russians?  I am a resident of Moscow and would not want to lose money. I do not want to switch to the Waves or Chinese NEO

I think BCH-ABC and BCH-SV will destroy each other and no matter what Ver and Wu or Wright do it will make difference to the overall eventuality that Bitcoin remains king.

Both Ver and Wu are getting what they deserve and I have no sympathy for them after what they did trying to destroy Bitcoin. I have no time for Wright either but am happy the three of them can waste each others time during the battle for BCH-ABD/BCH-SV which for a few months at least would allow them to leave Bitcoin alone.

How that BCH-ABD/BCH-SV battle affects the rest of the crypto market (especially ETH) remains to be seen.

YEah its far from failing, I don't see any reason for it to fall. Even without those ICOs it is a stand alone project that aims to get into PoS.

Just like other coins when they have some plenty of good news, they are rising so this is also applicable to ETH. It was dumped that much, yes that's true but this is all due to the bear market and no coin can evade that thing.

ETH Devs are basically famous for missing deadlines.

Back when ETH launched in late 2015, it was said that POS would launch sometime in Summer of 2016. And because of their promise, I've never upgraded to more efficient GPUs, which at the time were the AMD Nano/Fury's. And basically kept waiting and waiting for POS updates and from what I can tell its still a long ways away.

Another issue is that who knows how it will work in practise to compared to how they have it analyzed in theory. I hope that POS works out but like others have said before, it will make ETH centralized because there will be a small percentage of individuals who owns most of the coins.

What the muggles don't realize is how complex these things are. The sharding spec is certainly non-trivial. It's why there are literally a dozen or so different teams working on various implementations.
PoS isn't like throwing up some website code. It's unbroken ground. Even giving the date of 2016 - 2 years is not much time.
