I agree calling the fork and replace it with the proper term of 'upgrade'. It's true to be an upgrade for eth's network and usually what crypto folk will think of with 'forking' is that it will create a new coin. But at this moment, it's more of an upgrade so I think it's plausible.
The term "fork" is most likely used to create more noise. And then all at the last moment to postpone (cancel). This is just my opinion, perhaps it is generally a test of the market, but the market almost did not respond.
I think they don't have intention to think about that, they just used a wrong term and people thought about it as something that will generate a new coin. And as for that, the scammers rode that hype and two of them were already busted. Yes, the market almost didn't respond about that and I think it's likely to see more of it in the future and it's good to see that they now consider using 'upgrade' instead of fork term.

It is good decision to delay this upgrade and fix the all bugs before make it implement on this network. Even this is little disappointed as everyone was ready to see what will happen after this upgrade anyway the tea will bring more better solution.

Yes, it is a very good decision to delay the development because with a lot of bugs will make the hacker to find out the clues. So it is very good to release the product after the final conclusion and successfully testing the code.

Yeah, over mis-using the term hard fork will create perfect chances for scammers, who will readily - of course - use the term for their shitty clone forked projects.
Before using the term hard fork, I think there are two main criteria should be taken into consideration:
1> Purposes of the event (I got those three ones below from the new-source there: https://cointelegraph.com/bitcoin-cash-for-beginners/what-is-hard-fork#terms-you-should-know)
Code:
1. To fix important security risks found in older versions
2. To add new functionality
3. To reverse transactions.
If the purpose is compromising open source code of others and use them to create new coins, it should be called as clone fork, not hard fork.
2> The separation of core team or communities or not (for projects that have full control of their core team, communities will not play a role in the criteria).

I don't think so.
Fork = upgrade

I totally agreed with you.
Code:
a breaking change in the protocol (an update)
and, it should be sticked with one supplementary criteria, a separation or un-consensus of core team or communities (for community-driven projects) on the update/ upgrade.
And it's really unfortunate people think that with the term fork. Because, before all these shit coins were created from minority communities and scams, people still understood fork to mean what it was: a breaking change in the protocol (an update).

Now the "crypto community" has been crazy diluted with weak-handed muggles who are just here following hype...and can't seem to distinguish an upgrade from a contentious hard fork.  Cry

I created a topic for the discussion.
You all can join it there:
Upgrade or hard-fork? Is it time to stop over-misusing the term hard-fork?

Blockchain is a ledger on what Ethereum moves. First of all, you need to be more clear in your question what actually you want to know about it. Ethereum is platform of smart contracts and tokens creation built on the top of blockchain. Without blockchain it will be like a traditional excel kind spreadsheet for your convenience I use this word @neocryptz07.

There is no such thing as "bakkt" or "fidelity". First of all the US govt must create law framework before the before-mentioned "companies" even think about starting an exchange.

US need to upgrade its law for cryptocurrencies they are implementing the old laws on this new tech. They already legal framework and you can check the SEC website everything is explained in details.

Everyone is waiting for some kind of miracle in the form of bull run and new peak prices. All ICO projects and the Ethereum team wait. But everything is constantly canceled postponed and transferred. This is just a crazy flat fall.

Binance already launch the Fiat exchange, binance going to launch another exchange in coming months in singapore??
Well Constantinople will happen when interesting news arrive, best time to pick up few ETH.

They are doing this right away. Changes are being amended to statutes and juridical acts concerning the freedom of entrepreneurship with regard to blockchain-powered / -based companies which is a promising step on the road to popularization of a technological evangelism. Crypto will thrive. Another thing, and very concerning one, is that wall street whales like mr. Loeffler still havent covered their bitcoin shorts, hence no major announcements for now.

Ethereum is blockchain 2.0 so that your question is clear what you want to ask. If you will share in more detail than you will get help from community otherwise it is hard to understand.

According to some media reports new estimated time for hard fork is somewhere at the end of next month. This time probably will be no problem but in case of not fully prepared better to communicate in time. I don't know if true but there were some talks regarding issues for those were prepared for expected hf and it delayed in last minutes. Let's see market returning to normal by then in few weeks time.

I do agree calling it changes in protocol is much more correct and suitable instead of calling it upgrade or downgrade. It failed in first attempt so next time it can not be called surely upgrade but changes. I will say developers speak less and should work more and results of their work should talk. It disappointed me because after long testing they reached nowhere.

Do not rush the developers, especially when preparing to launch fork Ethereum. It is best to do the best possible, it will be optimal and correct.

If you have some spare time you can watch the ETH dev conference video on Youtube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45mrrVrw4x8

But basically they are thinking block 7,280,000 which is around Feb 27th or so.

The faulty EIP they are removing and the rest of the time will be used for testing purposes.
