So I'm not sure what changed with the last fork, it Ethereum become ProgPoW? PoS? Nothing changed?

I also noticed less gas price in my DAPPs, is this related to the fork?

I don't think it has moved to PoS, I mean... there are "67186 miners" in https://ethermine.org/.
I remember reading long ago that "somewhen" they'd go into a hybrid PoS/PoW and later on they'd disable the PoW completely. I'm not sure if we've entered the PoS/PoW right now... probably?

I totally support the plan to switch to Proof of Stake.
In general, it is a great idea.
For Ethereum project, for the planet, and for small investors.
I don't have too much money, don't have rigs, but I can use several Ethereum coins to stake.
It makes sense, certainly.

It's working and the miners can only mine no more than 2.5 ethereum from each block and that was getting 30% decrease from the previous block reward. that's a good news at all.
The hardfork goes very smooth and that's good.

This could probably bring price appreciation, I am expecting that we will rise from here because we got the success that we are hoping.
I'm right with still holding my ETH as I know the team would just do things to improve the network for the future benefit, now we are seeing the good result.

As far as I know, the reward for manners decreased from 3 to 2 eth. And at the expense of whether the network update went well or not can be judged after some time.

In case it will rise, I think it should be because of another reason.

We already see the result of that hard fork and that is bringing the price to where we are now.
The market is seen based on the hype and no more hype now, but those who understands the potential effect of the upgrade should see the price as cheap now.

They've copied MyEtherWallet's page and since this is Ethereum's fork, they're obviously hoping for people to visit their MEW and import their private key there! DON'T DO THAT!

What a hopeless scam, they didn't even try hard. I hope their thread gets removed ASAP.

Maybe you are following the other related websites to let know about the status of this upgrade it has been activated long time and now all transaction are moving forward on protocol.
