6%? Well, that will pull a lot of ETH away from circulation and in the markets. I think it will cause a price bump because you see PoW coins extract value from the cost of the hardware resources and computing power, while PoS forces large stakers to hodl their ETH. PoS is good if the adoption rate is consistent.

Yes, you are right we have already seen the POS machine from the other different coins which already have very good potential about their holding. So the majority of the people will start holding the coin in the market will help ETH coin to increase its price even to a higher value.

I think it could also be the opposite of that. If small holders have no incentives to keep ETH in their wallets only a handful of whales will get most of the POS rewards and keep dumping all the free money they'll get...

These are issues without any thing contrarily but one big advantage for Ethereum to be first mover in smart contracts industry and many other things which opened way for cryptocurrencies towards more innovation. This is how I see Bitcoin first mover for cryptocurrencies while Ethereum for these things I mentioned and this will always make difference. Now look at big trading/financial giants coming with trading offers for these two top markets to understand where we are heading to.

I fully agree with you. For the sake of experiment, a year and a half ago I kept a coin and just watched it grow. The roadmap promised quarterly capitalization. Yes, there is a capitalization, but the value of the coin decreased by 2 orders of magnitude! This is a lot, my entire contribution almost burned down, and now it is not an experiment, but simply a sports interest. And alas, this practice is observed with almost all coins.

Yes, there is a capitalization, but the value of the coin decreased by 2 orders of magnitude! This is a lot, my entire contribution almost burned down, and now it is not an experiment, but simply a sports interest. And alas, this practice is observed with almost all coins.

Ethereum, years ago, brought a big innovation to crypto, so we can hope that it once again, will make a breaking for Proof-of stakeable coins. We mostly saw proof-of-stake coins have their prices drops gradually after switching to stake phase, but Ethereum is a giant in crypto, and it might make a big difference for us. DASH, so far failed in this aspect, so let's see what will happen when ETH activates PoS.

I don't know when it will happen, but certainly not for now. ethereum is far from good, there is no big reason to be able to pump ethereum to $1000.

Whenever most of investors lose their hope, and start to sell off their coins, coins will start to recover. Ethereum, might raise more than $500, but I only set my profit-taking price at $500. Taking profits at that price (if ETH reach it), then I will wait for next chances to invest in ETH again. Two rounds of investments at $150 and taking profits at $550 might have equal profits as only one investment which wait for taking profits at $1000 from the entry point at $150.

Yeah Agree with you people losing faith in ethereum cause of last big dump in crypto prices $1.4k to around $100 but we can still expect that ethereum price could cross ATH, one big news will trigger the prices to moon if you can buy at this point never late just buy or regret after skyrocket.

Agreed. Looking at the current market situation it seems ETH will not be getting to the $1000+ mark any time soon.

I read posts here saying it will get to near $1000 before the end of the year (2019) but I doubt it.

As an optimistic investor, I believe that it will be back there. But knowing when, I dont know, no idea either. Having no clue when we are even going to break $300-$500 prices, $1000 is hard to guess.
