[ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning

There are no signs that ETH will be heading towards the all time high of around $1500 any time soon. There is movement in the market but not enough to show that level of support just yet.

Up we go as bitcoin never fails to amaze us so far this year. Last year ETH only manage to rise $300+ but I believe it will break to at least $500 this year.

$500 will be much lower than the All time high of Ethereum, at which so many investors bought the coin, has not exited and still stucked at this price. Will the 2.0 upgrade of Ethereum be released this year and help to bring the price of ETH taking off to $1000 at least?

I did not buy at the all time high so honestly $500 is more than double the current price and is a very profitable price to take profit for me.

If developers finish their EIPs and add them on time soon, it seems that many projects waiting for ETH 2 are going to grow fast, there are still many people believing in ETH and their developers/vision. Hopefully, this year can be a good one for the ETH community and can reach good milestone.

What future do you see for crypto games based on ethereum? I think this is just fun for users who will soon get tired of such things. After that, there will be no one needed crypto games, as happened after the hype with projects. The only difference is that people will be left with worthless in-game items and characters instead of shit tokens.

ETH has very healthy movement, my bet is that it will touch 250.

It would if bitcoin would hit $11,000... maybe it's wise to say that Bitcoin has a very healthy movement and ETH following that good movement.

Well hope you are right the actual price is very lower at the moment, total eth supply is not much , price should be at 1K dollars right now!

It is no worse than many alternatives to buy. I would say with the price as it is and comparing it to the all time high it might be worth investing in providing you are willing to be patient and will wait for the price to give you a return.

Ethereum still has potential but if you do some research maybe you will find some other crypto that is less of a risk if you are not willing to buy at the current price.

I assume it is safe to say we will not see the Phase 0 as they scheduled on Q1 of 2020? It can happen in Q2 or even at the end of the year.
And based on Vitalik's latest interview on Cointelegraph: Interview, things will be delayed even further because it is less urgency.

Do not tell me they are waiting to release it when we start the bull market, so they can get momentum and lead the whole market as they used to be when releasing the ICO feature?

yeah it may be true that to buy from various alternative is not sensible. after comparing from the markets ups & down checking of return from your investment. For that you have to be patient.

I was planning to open a new thread for this on the altcoin subforum, however, this might only be another fud. In any case, can someone explain what this is and if 2Miners is correct in its calculations?



Following an internal investigation, 2Miners managed to find out that all global ETC pools were reported the same drop in hashrate. At the same time, Antminer E3 was still performing fine on Ethereum pools, 2Miners said. The team immediately suggested that the issue was likely to be connected with directed acyclic graph (DAG) — a file that is generated every new group of 30,000 blocks known as a mining epoch.

When mining Ethereum, each GPU requires a big file called DAG at the start of the mining process, 2Miners elaborated. As DAG files grow each 30,000 blocks, or mining epoch, the memory capacity has apparently reached its limit.

Following a request to Bitmain helpdesk, 2Miners was reportedly able to confirm that the growth of DAG files limited the usage of Antminer E3 for mining ETC. According to Bitmain, Antminer E3, which is an ASIC miner, still contains a 4GB video card for mining, while the DAG file is approaching the threshold.
Bitmain reportedly said:

“[...] Antminer E3 is a 4GB video card. E3 is related to ETH algorithm, and DDR capacity is up to the upper limit, so E3 will not be able to continue mining. The meaning is E3 only can mine until January 2020, then will not mine again.”

According to 2Miners’ calculations, Antminer E3 should terminate Ethereum mining roughly on April 8, 2020. According to the mining pool, the current Ethereum Classic mining epoch is 328 while it is still 318 for Ethereum. According to the DAG size calculator data, the DAG size for Ethereum accounts for 3.48 GB, while the one for Ethereum Classic amounts to 3.56 GB at press time.

The calculations are quite simple.
We are sure the Antminer E3 hashrate has dropped when epoch 328 has started.
Epoch changes each 30 000 blocks.
328 x 30 000 = 9 840 000 (the block when problem should appear)
current block is 9 555 453 -> https://eth.2miners.com/

9 840 000 - 9 555 453 = 284 547 blocks
average block time is about 13.1 seconds

284 547 x 13.1 = 3727565.7s = 62126.1min = 1035.43h = 43.14 days

So Antminer E3 hashrate will drop on Ethereum on +-April 8th

Phase 0 will help ETH to keep investors more interested in buying ETH, because of the PoS feature as a sharding (sidechain) of ETH It seems that sidechain are the new way to handle big amount of tx. Hopefully, these new updates won't take any longer as the project did in the past already.

F1 Delta Time, the Ethereum-powered blockchain game has begun to sell in-game item crates.

Players are now able to purchase a collection of cars, parts, drivers and racing gear with the ERC-721 non-fungible tokens (NFT), according to F1 Delta Time official announcement from Feb. 25. The sale will run through March 9, with 6,500 total crates up for grabs with prices set to increase from the current levels after March 3.

NFT’s are a form of a digital collectible that are not interchangeable since they carry unique qualities and vary in their level of rarity.

ETH is still looking strong as like it showing good sign to make come back with great support from the community. Majority of the people were expecting for a deeper correction and it could fall below $200 but today it again back on track to gain.

Yes, after yesterday it had decreased by $230 per eth, now it has begun to improve. I think the end of March will touch $300 first.
