The current reward of miners is approximately 12,000 coins per day. After the merger, the issuance will decrease by 4.4 million coins per year, this should have a good effect on the price, because miners will not sell coins. The price of ethereum could drop below $2,000 now.

There will be changes, but I can see it all being something of a NewsHype considering the Main thing they want is to get things working as they are, include some changes, and keep things running smooth.

PoW removal is the hard part for such a large NetWork - but ALL of Crypto? Hardly!
