I think holding bitcoin for a long time has no problems. What are you worried about? Bitcoin is the safest, although its appreciation space is not very big, but it is safe, is the first element of investment.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?

Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.

Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .

After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.

But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.

So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?

Can Bitcoin hit $ 50,000 this year? While most of the cryptocurrencies are much below their earlier highs but there are newer and newer predictions coming up for cryptocurrencies. One such prediction is that Bitcoin can rise to as high as $ 50,000 in the calendar year 2018. A cryptocurrency portfolio manager by the name of Jeet Singh, stated at World Economic Forum in Davos, that the current volatility is completely normal when it comes to the cryptocurrencies space. He also stated that it is normal for cryptocurrencies to fluctuate by 70% to 80%. This is one of the main reasons why the current volatility does not worry him at all.

I have a prediction that there is a possibility that Bitcoin will lose its reputation in the next few years, given that there are many new coins that can be better in the future. But calm down, this takes a long time, because Bitcoin is the father of all currencies, at least to this day.
bitcoin will not lose its reputation even though many new coin coins are popping up in the future. bitcoin is the king of coin coins and has the highest price. bitcoin has become the most popular coin of investors and if new coins want to shift the reputation of bitcoin I think it's impossible .

With this question, I do not agree who I should keep. This is the best coin in the crypt. While a good price to buy bitcoin, I advise buying it. It's your salary that you will receive 100% in a year, and maybe two.

BTC is the father of all coins. It will not disappear anywhere and will only grow over the years. Some alternative coins can give a good growth, x 10-x 100, but here it is necessary to guess where to invest.

Truly in reality, in the event that you know and completely comprehend what you are doing then its fine holding your bitcoin, I don't know what is the rationale from OP, endeavoring to impact individuals to hold another coins is likewise fine however better to know and furthermore comprehend the hazard, bitcoin can develop as we seen the last stature and if time returns and esteem skip to that level the individuals who as yet holding will advantages and increase considerably greater benefits.

I agree with you, but on the other hand, I have to look at it. For example, in many cases I sell it now, and I have some expectations for the Bitcoin, so I postpone my investment.

Holding is the safest but you also need to sell some of them in right time.

Going by your analysis i prefer holding Altcoins for a very long time than holding Bitcoin for a very longtime. There are good altcoins that has the ability to reproduce itself if wisely invested in. I have made series of investment on some major Altcoins and it turns out pays much than i expected.

I agree with you, because in my opinion someday the price of Bitcoin will definitely go down and be replaced by other altcoins, so I suggest that you don't really believe to hold Bitcoin for long time.

For me, bitcoin is a great cryptocurrency and in addition I am glad that this type of investment exists. I am sure that it is necessary to wait, and any manipulations in this sphere are simply senseless. So you can lose a lot of money

I really agree with what you say, because I do not like to invest btc in the long term, because for me trading with short term is very promising to be able to get a lot of profit every time from every price movement.
because for me it is very definite with short term trading especially by using btc.

Well, this applies to all tokens, HOLD makes sense in an ever-growing market, and now that you have to earn income you need to be able to trade on the market correctly.

Having BTC certainly follows the price of USD, otherwise if you have altcoin you can of course exchange to ETH, BTC or USD. It all depends on our choice to choose the right investment, but BTC has the potential to increase prices and if you buy it at a cheap price then you can get a profit. It all depends on your short-term or long-term choice cycle, and even though altcoins have cheaper benefits, the risk that you should get is the dump price.

imagine if you are only concerned with short-term profits to be converted to fiat continuously, while the volume and price of bitcoin continues to increase every year

You will regret it when bitcoin reaches the highest price in the next 2-5 years. It's too long to be an assumption, but we can see progressive bitcoin charts every year in a positive direction.
