Since most of the alt coins are traded with BTC or ETH. SO I think altcoins prie are dependent on the price of this two.
What is your opinion please share.
I think this view is very correct. Most of the price of the altcoin is driven by BTC and ETH. When the prices of ETH and BTC fluctuate sharply, the prices of other altcoins will change drastically. |

ALT coin’s value is highly correlated with the increase of BTC and vice-versa. Let’s add the USD to the ratio where ALT/BTC is also ALT/USD / BTC/USD. If people are buying more bitcoins then they are increasing the BTC/USD value. But since ALT is also rising, it means that BTC is also traded to buy ALT resulting in an increase of ALT/BTC which can also be translated to an increase of ALT/USD. The opposite is also correct, the decrease of ALT/BTC and BTC/USD together is a result of a quick sell of both BTC and ALT.
Basically, prices of altcoins depends on bitcoin including ethereum because bitcoin is the base currency of all coins. However certain cases exist where an altcoins price skyrockets irrespective of current eth or btc price |

Yes. Bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrency and ethereum is the head of the altcoins i think. So its price will affect the altcoins. If they on the high price, altcoin will be high too. But if they down, altcoins too. |

Yeah right now altcoins price is depend the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum, but the altcoin falls deeper compared Bitcoin and Ethereum.

All alts depend on BTC. Eth also depends on BTC since it is also an altcoin.
It is just like the stock exchange. If there are good news, most stocks go up. If there are good crypto news, btc goes up and alts follow.

I think that the whole cryptocurrency market depends on Bitcoin, as its capitalization is more than 50 percent. Only tokens created on its platform depend on Ethereum, but practice shows that not always.

Not so much because they have primary major relative influencing factors they are dependent on(eg product release and update news). But because of the fact that btc and eth are there base pairs, they are secondarily dependent on them |

You are not quite right, the price of altcoins really depends on BTC, but ETH has little effect on their cost. The price of ETH just like other altcoins depends on BTC. If you study the charts of Bitcoin price changes and any other coin, you will see similarities in them.

Obviously, not only altcoin. The whole crypto market are BTC and ETH. If BTC or ETH are pump/dump the whole market are pump/dump. If BTC or ETH are stable maximum altcoin are pump.

I will say yes cos looking at it when the price of Eth or BTC falls, you will also notice a drastic change in other altcoins and while trading most of altcoins are Eth and BTC paired

Prices of altcoins are often depended by changes in BTC price. Ethereum too is usually affected by Bitcoin. And so an increase in the price of Bitcoin affects the whole market.

Obviously, not only altcoin. The whole crypto market are BTC and ETH. If BTC or ETH are pump/dump the whole market are pump/dump. If BTC or ETH are stable maximum altcoin are pump.
I would remove Ethereum from your analysis as it is affected by the price of Bitcoin, which means that it, like the whole market, follows the movement of the price of Bitcoin. |

It will be a year in May this thread started, no argument in the past year should go against the influence of bitcoin solely, not even Ethereum stands the chance to rise without bitcoin. Bitcoin still hold the trust and has more wealthy maximalist than any other coin. Bitcoin pump is the most expensive to run ,most influential, most famous and most profitable for the whole space.

Most of the time yes what ever movement bitcoin may go altcoins price also follow. But in some instances there are some altcoins who move independently like what binance coin did it continue to grow overtime even bitcoin price are consolidating. The demand is still the main gear to where the price of your coins may tackle. |
