mostly in my opinion yes but some of them don't because they depend on their own projects for example they launch mainnet themselves or launch their products or services but I don't know it's just an opinion

In this there is no doubt. I am absolutely sure that there are a lot of chances for a very big dependence, I would probably say a direct dependence on the price of BTC and ETH. Therefore, there is definitely a dependency.

So much time has passed since the creation of this topic and the situation remains the same. All other coins are traded primarily for Bitcoin and Ethereum and their price depends on these two coins. This proves how the underlying coins are Bitcoin and Ethereum for the cryptocurrency market.

Of course it does, usually their price follows bitcoin's price, if it goes up then others would go up too, I usually just do technical analysis on bitcoin's price, the others are just followers mostly.

Everything depends on those two. The first reason is the market dominance of Bitcoin, it is still around 50 percent and the market follows Bitcoin price. The second reason is that almost the half of all tokens are based on Ethereums blockchain.

Basically, all prices in the market depend on the value of bitcoin, Ethereum does not affect the price of altcoins. But not always the growth of the bitcoin price causes the growth of the price of other coins, and sometimes the market falls with the growth of the bitcoin price.

I agree with your opinion because all this time I've always seen price movements always follow the movements of both coins, so it would be better if we made an analysis when there would be a pump by both coins so we could make a decision we would buy some altcoins.

I think it's very difficult for altcoin prices to be released from the shadow of bitcoin, as long as the aim of investors for altcoins is only to multiply the bitcoins they have it feels very difficult for altcoins to get rid of bitcoin especially in all markets almost all altcoin exchanges are done with bitcoin. |

Most of the time yes what ever movement bitcoin may go altcoins price also follow. But in some instances there are some altcoins who move independently like what binance coin did it continue to grow overtime even bitcoin price are consolidating. The demand is still the main gear to where the price of your coins may tackle. Mostly BTC plays a major role. ETH is also following the movement of BTC. It would not be right to compare Binance sales with that. Because, when we look at the top gainer list in coinmarketcap, we can see that there are those who can increase in this case. |

For what i see bitcoin price affects all the altcoins price because when the price of bitcoin goes skyrocket in the year 2017 , all the prices of altcoins that year also goea high rapidly and many people earn a lot of profits that time , but in the mids of 2018 bitcoin price crashes and also altcoins goes down and follows the bitcoin dip.

In my opinion, I think the price of most altcoin depends only on Bitcoin, it does not depend on Ethereum and even Ethereum is dependent on Bitcoin, which is a rule of the market. |
