Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH??

I think that the price of other altcoins depends only on the price of bitcoin. But that is also uncertain. And lately I have argued that ethereum also affects the price of other altcoins. I think like that. Because when ethereum has decreased, other altcoins also go down. That's my opinion.

indeed altcoin prices depend on the price of bitcoin, it has been known for a long time, even since altcoin emerged. yes you have to know that guys, if the price of bitcoin goes up then the altcoin goes up and vice versa. bitcoin is the price determinant in crypto.

I think it depends on each currency, but generally, parity is done with ETH, since at the end of the day most ICOS are tokens compatible with the ETH wallet, plus many ICOs use GAS for their transactions, that increases or decreases the price of ETH as well.

I noticed that all the currency is based only in one currency and that is bitcoin's value in the market that's why it is hard to say that they are not basing they're price in one currency that we know that if his price on the market is not in a good value they are not making their more or any increase of their price even they are the one who can decide their value in the market.

The price of altcoins is more influenced by bitcoin than ethereum. As the price btc falls, price eth also falls and most altcoins follow them. The prices of altcoins depend too much on the price of bitcoin.

I think that 90% of altcoyins are, in the main, very dependent on the price of bitcoin and etherium. there are a lot of examples, they can be seen and verified.

The costs really rely on the buying price of bitcoin. Many people want to dispute which the buying price of altcoins depends upon the buying price of ethereum, not really likely to challenge which simply because there are plenty associated with buying and selling sets in between altcoins as well as ethereum. However once again the buying price of ethereum depends upon the buying price of bitcoin therefore not directly, the costs from the altcoins nevertheless rely on the buying price of bitcoin irrespective.

In my own opinion, the whole market depends on bitcoin. Altcoin prices mostly depends on bitcoin than ethereum even though the trading pairs are mostly in ethereum, the price of ethereum depends on the price of bitcoin which means the altcoin prices indirectly depends on bitcoin price due to trading pairs. We have seen it that since bitcoin price has been falling, ethereum price has also been falling and so with altcoins too even tho some altcoins are on the rise but because its trading pair is in ethereum or bitcoin. Its value is reduced.  I feel all coins in the market is dependent on Bitcoins value

That's kinda true but think about it more, I think that altcoin is not literally dependant on both btc and ethereum but instead they mostly got affected by the market emotionally that they will forcefully get into the mass to panicly selling or buying, that's just my thought.
However the affection of both bitcoin and ethereum is so strong to altcoin

the simple truth is that most of the coin in the market sphere all depends on each others because wen ever the market is red it all affect the rest. but most at time I keeps on wondering why the such things always happened. those it really mean they can't do without each other or what?

I'm new in this field. But i know that alts are depending from Ethereum and Ethereum depends from Bitcoin so all coins are depending from Bitcoin. That's why we see if Bitcoin price is dropped so all market is going down.
