So there's 10 billion total and half are not 0s right now.  I'd expect it to be rarer than 5 billion.

Max Anomalies = 10 Billion

Yep. He'll surely dump those 50 the first chance he gets.  Cheesy

What's with this block's payout being 28 CGA?  http://cryptexplorer.com/block/9650085a89daec7f82c84778c862759b9270455b7556843db3a5d446ce0959af

I think we need some answers.

Haha so it was less rare than 42 from the beginning. Makes the "Take that 42" on the OP really ironic.

So on the whole is less better? I mean am I better off wallet mining or throwing a few hundred khash at it?

So there's 10 billion total and half are not 0s right now.  I'd expect it to be rarer than 5 billion.

I wrote it several times, that probability of hitting reward on block equals 1/diff for diff > 1 and 0.9 for diff < 1. The payout is 1, so even if the anomaly will occur EVERY time, then in order to generate 5 milions (not bilions) coins it would need 10 years. But if diff will quicky be higher than 2, then in the same period of time (10 years) there would be generate less that 2.5 milions Smiley For diff greater than 10 there would be about 500k coins (in the 10 years period).

Yes, I think it was a payout from pool or something, because at pool statistics the value per mined block 279 was 0 (and it is correct with algorithm, because the reminder is 1.368).

If you guys knew anything about making an altcoin you would know that the genesis block is (almost) never actually seen...
So yes the genesis block generated 50 coins but nobody has them... the are floating in cyberspace. I pre-mined 8 coins and have given 4 of them away to other users who have contributed to the betterment of this coin...

ENOUGH WITH THE BLASPHEMY!

I believe you are looking at coins that got transferred in that block, not the amount that was mined.

Anyone can check if the algorithm works. From the blockchain we take blockHeight and diff. Example block 294 with diff 1.420. Then we divide 294 by 1.420 to get 207.0423. In order to get the reminder we need non-integer part of 207.0423 (which is 0.0423) and again multiply it by diff. So reminder is 0.0423*1.420 = 0.06 Smiley

So this example shows that reward is if the reminder is also less than 0.1 Smiley Maybe the final algorithm generates the reward if... reminder is in (0.01,1)? Or just in (0,1)?

Or you could just do 294 mod 1.420 http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=294++mod+1.420

I'll wallet mine this for now, but the question still stands; Am I better not just solo mining with my spare card? I have 270mhash I can spare.
