A bit of tech stuff here. Keccak is one of the most unique algos out there with Cryptonote (XMR etc) being the top class among the altcoins. If you have older h/w (it's very possible if you belong to the 1st/2nd gen miners) most possible you'd want to mine for a good alt coin. Unfortunately, if you'd choose Cryptonote your Ati card was out of luck (Nvidia is king here) so you end up with... Keccak.

Up until a certain point, mining for MAX was a nice way to make a buck (if you had the ability to mine with cheap electricity) or even hold your stash for future use and hope for the better. Well, it got a bit ugly later, and "the better" never came. At this price mining for MAX is not profitable and the only way to do so is, either because you have inside info that "MAX 2 DA MOON" etc or, you "just have that gut feeling".

Personally, I don't expect a lot from MAX. Not until a better wallet comes out, more exchanges are involved, or something else -pretty significant- happens.

+1 and i will say only way that could happen is development via community. Dont hold your breath for Max Keiser pumping this coin because he is busy pumping Startcoin and all related projects. Best you can hope for is crowdfund project on Startjoin.

Keiser abandoned Maxcoin long ago. There is a just a dedicated few left that refuse to accept that it is over.

May I suggest that you're more active in here? Being on a site is one thing but posting in here is what makes this coin "active" within the "future members". Posting news and missives in the website is getting attention only to the members that already care. What about the new ones? XMR is doing this too. Posting missives every week or so HERE as well their website/blog/forum. Like it or not, this is the marketplace you're suppose to be "selling"...

One would have to be stupid to pay double the current market price for MaxCoins when you can easily buy 100,000 MAX on the open market right now for nearly half that in a matter of days.

I sold all my Maxcoin a week ago and invested it in Startcoin. I'm glad that I did. Maxcoin is falling while Startcoin is steadily rising like a rocket in slow motion. I've a feeling Startcoin is going to be the next Litecoin.

As others have pointed out Max Keiser very rarely mentions Maxcoin anymore. Max was the biggest selling point Maxcoin had. It makes good marketing sense just to concentrate on one coin. Startcoin looks clean and so many things are happening with it. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of genuine people still holding, but my gut feeling is that Maxcoin is about to fizzle out just like Quark and Zeta have.

Can we ever expect an endorsement like what START just got from Russel Brand?  That would be huge.

Sadly I sold all my START, at 8,000 sat.  I really should have held any and all coins where "the Crypto Money Machine Keiser" is involved; it's just that the inflation for Start is so MASSIVE.

I hope we will soon see big things happen for MAXCoin as well.  In fact, I would expect bigger things to happen for MAX than what we're seeing for START, but that's just my pure speculation.

Looks like Start is gonna be the main Keiser game for now.  Hopefully MAX is still in the plans.  To be certain, it's best to hold both Keiser coins which of course, I now only hold MAX.

Props to those who held START, it looks strong and it will probably hit 100,000 sat soon.  Huge missed opportunity for me. 

I really hope I'm right and START is just a feeding mechanism for MAX.  Otherwise I just got Keisered.

Do you want him to draw diagrams and come out and say Maxcoin is dead? The Startcoin space rocket is still slowly rising and gathering speed. There's still time to get on board.
