Don't you ever share your private keys or never store it in your own PC. Keep it somewhere safe and don't use it everytime, I suggest for you to use JSON file, the one that is being downloaded from Myetherwallet.com. With that you can prevent any keylogging activities if there are spywares on your PC, if you want to be fully confident for your holdings to not be hacked. So for beginner we can use metamask in our google chrome to protect it. It can protect us for entering phising website. The best and only way I knew about is hardware wallet which is Trezor.

The best way to do that is to invest some money and buy a hardware wallet like trezor or nano ledger and you are going to be fine. People who cant afford a hardware wallet, the best thing they can do is to store there private keys on a piece of paper. Just take a print out on a paper of your paper wallet and dont store it anywhere online.

I am currently combining mew with metamask and imtoken as security measures for my wallet but I believe only an offline wallet like ledger may be the safest means of protecting funds
