You should try to keep the coins on a separate wallet, so as not to show its address in any projects - it is ideal to have a hardware wallet. Closing the keys are not stored on the computer - but to use multiple removable media

One of the best online wallets is what i use, which is google chrome extension of metamast. I do not think there can be any issue with it, except you download from a phishing site. It is reliable and has not got any record of hack so far.

I think you are right, Having two seperate wallets, where you use one for transactions being sent to other people and then the other ones will just be used for the storage of your coins. I would also like to add that people should be more careful when they are visiting websites, always make sure that the url is the correct one before you put in your private key to access your wallet so your information does not get stolen. Stay safe out there everyone.

ACCOUNT RECOVERED 4/27/2020. Account was previously hacked sometime in 2017. Posts between 12/31/2016 and 4/27/2020 are NOT LEGITIMATE.

Make a strong password, and don't give any personal information about yourself because it might get a hint. Dont tell to any one about your password, its better to keep it to yourself. Then its better if your password is combination of numbers and letters, make it difficult to avoid hack of your wallet, dont make password which is easily to know like your birthday. And also dont easily attract to those project and telling that they give you a lot of profit then asked about your personal information because most of them are hacker.

In my view, any service or device which is connected to web or is web based is vulnerable to hackers. Coming to wallet’s every company boosts about its security. For this reason some people use hardware wallets like Trezor

This is all clear and all the advice is given in detail, but this is often not a defense against hackers, but from your own human stupidity and inattention. Still, I do not understand what can really save from hackers who have such resources that can be easily used, such as the last event - the overload of the ethereum network. Or, those hackers who hack crypto currencies exchanges or Vpn services. (Hola)

Metamask is a really safe wallet and I try as much as possible to avoid phishing sites especially when it requires you to unlock wallet
maybe you can be careful with how to save some of your assets into different addresses,
and keep private keys safe

If you use the myetherwallet then it is very important to ensure the safety of your key and access file to the wallet. Also, you need to look at the correctness of the links in the browser string when navigating to exchanges.

Be cautions when downloading files, not only in email. Remember that there are clever people out there in Crypto. you'll noticed files posted in communities, on telegram,Facebook,Reddit,Bitcoin talk, etc. As tempting at it is to click them, be aware that they could be bait. always use caution. you can even use Kapersky's file desk to quickly check links and files.

Many ways to protect your wallet from hackers. You can use metamask I think. Or if you have money then you can buy ledger wallet. Because I think the ledger wallet is very safe because it is our own control when we want to make transactions. that's all I think.

A cold storage for the majority of your funds is an option that can be considered safe for most of the people. Otherwise, you may want to invest on a hardware ledger.

The single best decision you can make to secure your crypto better is to get a hardware wallet. I know you've mentioned you wanted security advice for those who cannot afford a hardware wallet, but the wallets aren't very expensive nowadays, so if you can't afford one then the value of the crypto you are holding can't be worth much anyways.

Basic security common sense should apply always: 1. Keep your private key secure & don't share with anyone 2. take extra care when clicking on links to avoid phising sites 3. Avoid scams.

As other people do here I use only checked wallets, platforms and exchanges. What is more, I change password so often and they are really hard at all.

I advise you to buy Ledger. With him, you'll sleep soundly, knowing that your coins are not stealing. Store the crypto currency on a separate computer without access to the Internet. This is the key to success.

I am up to the present day, I use the MyEtherWallet and there were no problems. However, in order to increase security, in the near future I plan to buy a cold wallet
