Many recommend hardware wallets as the most reliable way of storing assets. I do not understand why we argue, where to safely store funds.
The correct answer is one. It is ledger or trezor!

The information is timely because I see many persons of late complaining about compromised wallets and being told by the bounty managers that they cannot change their wallet addresses after submission. I will try and work on the suggestions made here on protecting my wallet.

I think that only hard password, your attention and being smart will be able to protect it. And use platforms that are really safe, MEW, for example, I think it is a suitable one.

One of the techniques that are used by the investors of the market is that they buy altcoins from different IP address and they keep on changing the money from their wallet and circulate the money from one wallet to the other

To protect your wallet  from hackers you should have a hard password to  be able not too easy to recognize and also don’t  give the important information about you to the public to hide your identity.

My advice is that never ever give your private keys to anyone, especially when you joined airdrop, because some airdrops requires to give private keys, dont fall for it. Stay away from that kind of airdrop.

For those people who can't afford a hardware wallet, just like me.
I preffer you to save your private key on your google drive or google sheets.
Then reboot your computer/phone or maybe much better if you reset it.
This tricks is for cleaning cache on your computer/phone to remove your private key on sites that you use it before. Then log in your gmail on computer/phone that contains your pkey. Do this for one time only.

Note: don't forget your gmail password, make another 1 gmail for password recovery.

I think it's impossible to protect your wallet from a hacker if he decided to open it.

There are many who cant afford hardware wallet, for them my suggestion is that they  can use the offline wallet another name of it is ledger nano, there are many advantages of it, with it you can safely store all your assets offline,. Another positive part is that you will be much safer than hacker attacks

The main thing that should do any investor: keep safe your keys. If you decide not to do this, you will have a lot of problems.

The best defense against hackers is to store your money not on one purse but on several. Do not keep your money in a long time on purses tied to exchanges.

The most important thing for security in regards to cryptocurrency wallets is not to keep a secret key on the computer. And for bounty and airdrop to have a separate wallet.

Best option to protect your wallet from hackers is to keep your secret keys on paper, not on PC , and also use Metamask instead on only MEW,put all your private keys manually and check your balance without entereing your wallet

I use MEW and I am really glad to be confident in the safety of my money. I change my hard password very often with the help of password's  generator.

It's best to use hardware portfolios. The key should be saved somewhere on a piece of paper and well hidden.

never give your private key to anyone, especially when you join the airborne, because a few drops are required to give you a private key, do not be fooled by it.

Not need to be conducted in such messages as it is in most cases an obvious hoax. I wouldn't trust that kind of message. Personal wallets are too rarely hacked
