Ok so after all it seems the best launch of any of these high block reward clones.

No instamine was possible,
0.4% premine .... not too bad....
pool was working after all.

Still even now it seems hard to get coins, but since the blocks are slow 2.5mins and diff jumped high quick. It would seem this launch went perfectly well.

Fair coin - fair launch - hope peng does well.

100Billion seems a lot but that will take like forever to mine so i only minted coins i guess should be factored to price.

I doubt many people have even 200k coins yet.

Annoyed i removed my miners from cryptohashery but that's how it goes i guess. Back on there now.

Agreed, and well done for at least publishing a thought full and honest comment!

Alot of people owe cryptohashery an apology, a massive influx of miners from the word go, its ovious there is going to be lag, it will all catch up soon.

Theres a good number of pools to choose from so just keep your eye on them, things are settling now and let your rigs work and do some mining! Mine some Peng.

Thank you for the kind words.  I was a bit frustrated to see our pool being called a scam, but was glad we could figure it out together.  No hard feelings.  Smiley

We are currently supporting a small subset of scrypt coins, but if there is a coin you wish CH was hosting a pool for, let us know!

If anyone is still looking how best to spread the hash: http://penguincoin.p2p.0x0a.nl:49544/ (0.9% fee) is wide open! No lag whatsoever - which is a good thing, because no pool should ever be laggy with just 1 miner.

Primary selling point (apart from the 0.9% fee and the fact that you'll be the *second* miner Cheesy) - it's P2Pool instead of MPOS!

Also, notice how many P's there are in P2Pool? It's obviously meant to be used for PenguinCoin! As in, Penguin P2Pool Power!

P.S. I feel pretty bad about posting pool spam. However, I believe in P2Pool in part because it supports decentralization, which in turn can make a coin itself more secure. It would therefore be awesome if someone could grab my patch and set up their own node!

p2p.0x0a.nl for all your Cryptographic Anomaly, Cypherfunks, FryCoin, GameCredits, Gulden, PenguinCoin, and TittieCoin p2pool nodes! Err.. I mean needs! .. Both.

This coin will go down fast when multipool rapes it. I see in my crystal ball a very long blockless age, with starving penguins.  Embarrassed

Difficulty is re-targetted every 16 blocks. Each block is expected to be generated every 2.5 minutes on average. It takes 120 confirmation for a block to mature (confirm), so on average it will take 120 x 2.5 minutes = 300 minutes or 6 hours before a new block gets confirmed assuming the hashrate can catch up with the difficulty re-target.
