Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Difficulty is re-targetted every 16 blocks. Each block is expected to be generated every 2.5 minutes on average. It takes 120 confirmation for a block to mature (confirm), so on average it will take 120 x 2.5 minutes = 300 minutes or 6 hours before a new block gets confirmed assuming the hashrate can catch up with the difficulty re-target.
thanks for the explanation. the only problem I can see with this is that an unscrupulous pool owner can steal the first 6 hours of mining from a lot of people before they can even begin to cash out.

Don't worry =) Not even the pool owner can spend the coin before the coin matures. It take most litecoin-based crypto block 120 confirmation to mature, and so is Penguincoin since Penguincoin is branched out from Litecoin. Thanks for this it seems to be working well! Any chance you can release for Mac? Thanks, why does this one work and the others dont?? Don't use this one, it has a virus/malware. The one in the OP is safe, it seems.
If you've used this one, please look for files like "updater.exe" or "facebookupdate" in your msconfig.
I think Altcoinmaster created/spreads this fake by "quoting" a non existing post.
