This coin will approach Bitcoin parity. Think about it. If I were an Icelander, I would struggle with determining what my stash of 31.8 coins was worth. I would not want to give up my coins for anything less than a large fraction of BTC's price, for I will have been given the power of Bitcoin in a country whose capital controls make Bitcoins very difficult to obtain.

What is insane about utilizing technology to give people choice and empower them? I personally don't think Auroracoin will REPLACE the Krona, but I do believe it will be widely adopted and put enormous pressure on Icelandic politicians who have been destroying the Krona to change their ways. That's why bitcoin was created... But when you say hey, this is just for a specific country... You give the "governments" a good reason to outlaw or eradicate it! |
