The mining pool spam just makes this whole thread convoluted.

Can we have a one thread for pools and one thread for speculation?

It would be nice to brainstorm aurora without having spam breaking up the train of thoughts.
you have a point but...
Hmm I'm wondering where to mine...

The first 25 pools who reply their details will get 100kh/s from me for 1 minute each.
1 minute is not nearly enough to test anything...

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

The mining pool spam
one thread for pools and one thread for speculation?
+1

I guess soon, the admins might be disabling the font=gigantic option here.

To dim down those pool-owners-without-successful-pools
who constantly shout into our eyes. And some are spitting. Yuck.
Sad to see so clearly how desperate they are. Every coin the same.

It could be useful to have a "this nick is spamming" button besides each posting, to count up the annoyance level of a nickname. Only one vote per member, of course. And if there a hundred votes (or any other reasonable number), the account is looked into. If someone is getting so much into the way of other people that it interrupts the general flow, at the moment we are pretty helpless, aren't we?

BUT pools need a space where they can announce their non-scarce services, too.

I like the idea of two threads:
[ANN] coinname mining
[ANN] coinname everything but mining

What do you think?

A hard fork has been implemented.

  • Forks at block 5400
  • Gravity well added
I have forgotten if I updated already.
Please always tell us a version number, e.g. in the download-filename, and inside the wallet.

I think your sarcasm detector is malfunctioning. Wink

PS: 4 out of 9 posts on this page are spamming pools.

Mine some Auroracoin with us!
Payout: Prop
Vardiff
Stratum

registrations open!

aur.ctrlaltdefeated.us

Please note that while the frontend maybe a bit slow our stratum server is doing fine. We currently have one of the best effeciency rates (99.81%) of any of the larger pools!

Uhhh page has been blank for hours. Kind of wanted to get my coins. Anyone know what the deal is? Thanks!

Login and withdraw your coins please

anychance of others withdrawing there coins Huh

Nope, blank page and my miner's been without work for who knows how long. It's possible it was a fake pool to rip us off.

They had a post several pages back telling everyone to log on and withdraw their coins because they had issues with their stratum.  I was able to successfully withdraw all my coins.  They gave you plenty of warning that they would probably take it down

I don't want to hear this crap. You got lucky you were up and about to read that post. I wasn't. We can't be expected to be available 24/7 to log on at the drop of a hat and withdraw our coins from an inconsistent pool.

As far as I'm concerned, they "tried" to do the right thing, but they didn't try hard enough. They didn't set out to steal our coins, but until they offer better than a 6 hour window when their dodgy website might be working for us to withdraw them, that is exactly what they have done.

It would certainly be refreshing if the Icelanders can actually bring this currency into adoption and practical use. While none of these coins have any intrinsic value, I suppose people could assign value. One of the only countries to set a real example in the debt-based debacle. I don't have much faith in people, but it would be a lofty endeavor. Good luck, and go Iceland!

I try to keep my pool spam to a single line, as it is annoying that this thread is so unreadable.  That being said, please consider mining at http://aur.scrypthp.com - MPOS on fast secure servers and I'm an active admin and answer all tickets submitted.
