If the loss of direct $10 you sell back then it was a mistake. don't see the value of the currency, but the view of the value of crypto. in crypto value, you don't have the slightest losses and stay just wait and then withhold the results that you can buy just will exceed the initial price before. We All know the market for Cryptos is very Volatile. However at this moment, you could HODL it for a moment.
And Wait just wait, The Market might be down but its not end of the world for the crypto.
Sooner or later, there will be a lot of factor that could affect the outcome of the value of ETH.
At that its better that you still HODL your ETH and sell to highest available Price.

in a very short term like 1 day you can't really talk about what happened to your money. it can go either way, you may lose or win some money. but at this time as the altcoins specially big coins like ethereum are getting dumped hard when you buy them you can be sure that their prices will go down so it is best not to buy or only do short term hourly trades to make profit.

Cryptocurrency is unstable project. So you should expect its nature when you invest. I think ethereum is good investment and you said you loss $10 in a single day, it is due to its volatility. You may gain profit when the market goes up and that may take place in no second. Your investment amount is small I think. You will get only a small profit from it.

You, cannot judge any coin is just a couple of hours for sure and you need to wait for the rise in price to happen its not a magic coin which will give you instant profits. Not also BTC can do so. SO I think you need some patience in crypto investment to become a smart investor and I also think that 85$ is a very less amount for an invest.

Since you're still newbie $85 is a good start to experience investing in crypto, its not huge however by that amount you'll become aware of how market works. The coins are unstable thus expect the roller coaster ride and dont be eager to see the result of your investment for a short period because it takes time especially now that we are in bear market. What you currently see is normal so dont feel bad if the value decreases because if you dont sell your eth then you wont lose anything, wait for the right timing and forget about the price currently.
