I know, I know, I'm always on about the video. Just wanted to mention that plays tripled today....It goes to show that RIC remains very under the wire. Listing on a new exchange, people go back and check out the website and video because they hadn't heard of the coin yet.

yay with that much volume, i reckon we don't need to participate on those online voting system. btc38 volume is around 180k alone.

Maybe this has been discussed already, but does anybody have an estimate for how much computing power will be needed to get to the difficulty to start breaking world records?

First we have to have a system to retrieve the new primes...

I sold my coins, no pools = no future Really? You don't think they'll ever get them running? Why?

I sold my coins, no pools = no future I'm setting up a pool once stratum-mining is implemented... and that's being worked on... Also: Does anyone have 8k coins they want to dump? If not, we are staying above 0.0006 for a while!

If not, we are staying above 0.0006 for a while! Apparently setting up a pool for Rie is extremely difficult. Also I wish the developer was more active here, so that is why I decided to just sell and move on. I wish the best luck for everyone! I will be joining the Heavycoin train.

Thanks for the kind wishes, but I don't get that mentality at all. I've never sold a coin at a loss, and I've never sold all of anything. All in and All out is what drives volatility and hurts all cryptos. These trains need our help, the hobos jumping on and off slow them down.

lol I was going to mine heavy for a bit but it is just a joke Trust me: You don't want HVC And it shouldn't be hard at all to start a pool (< 1 hour) once stratum-mining is finished. It clearly is very possible as ypool has done it. I sold my coins, no pools = no future I'm setting up a pool once stratum-mining is implemented... and that's being worked on... Chinese love this stuff. BTC38 is a guaranteed huge price increase over and over.
Last night they were buying TONS of RIC on mintpal. Probably to move it to BTC38 from trading later.
Expect more of this ... indefinitely.

meh, I'm no longer convinced it can help coins. Maybe RIC because it doesn't have enough exposure. But you look at TAK and MZC added yesterday and they both tanked like crazy. Comes in like a windstorm, goes out like a fart.

Apparently setting up a pool for Rie is extremely difficult.
It's not that hard, after all jh00 from ypool did it in a couple of days. Of course he's very talented, but if you have an XPM pool then making one for RIC should be relatively easy... Also I wish the developer was more active here
it's not the first time I get this... so let's try this: I'll post a weekly update every Thursday.. here AND on riecointalk.org so that is why I decided to just sell and move on.
I'm sorry to read that... I'm mining, buying and HODLING

Wow, RIC mining would have paid off two of my research servers trading @ 0.002 BTC/RIC. I do not pay attention to the market but perhaps it is time to.
@gatra: Any estimate on when your pool server code will be ready for testing? Also, for your GPU implementation, will you be targeting AMD or Nvidia GPUs?
sorry, my latest pool server code doesn't compile, yet.. Regarding gpu, I'm using opencl so it should work on both... I have AMD so that's what I'll work with. I worked with C in embedded systems for some years, but I'm new to gpus, so don't expect a very optimized thing. Right now I'm giving priority to pool code, and the only thing I have is -based on cgminer- the modpow function using "naive" multiplication (no karatsuba, montgomery or fft)
