Updated the optimized ypool miner - about 10-30% faster (haven't finished an extensive head-to-head benchmark).

But this one is much more aggressive about being pool-friendly:  It sieves all six spots to a million, to try to reduce the advantage that the solo miners currently have vs the pool miners.

Please note that this one will still find you 10-30% more *shares* - but it will also help the pool find substantially more *blocks* for you to get shares of.  I've made sure that this extra pool-friendliness does not slow anything down for the individual miner (and, indeed, it's faster than b7).

I agree, although I hate to ask Gatra to take on another responsibility. But yea, he can't steal the funds because they'd be worthless pretty damn fast.

I disagree on this because it leaves money in the hand of one unknown individual. Although I trust gatra, doing it that way is too illogical in an organization sense. And I agree with Remi that Gatra shouldn't take on too many responsibility. From what I know, he has outside work beside  developing Riecoin. The point of this foundation is for Gatra to only focus on Riecoin development and to relieve him of some of his stress, not add on to it.

The foundation should have a trustless or close to it system.

Finished a lot quicker than I expected. Mostly because I've been working on this the entire day since I got home. Felt productive . Sent the design to gatra. Hope he can upload it and show you the new designed site. Sleeping now.

Yes better design, I like the following.
1. Not so overpowering with green.
2. video does not play every time I visit.
3. Useful links. I like the idea of a live ticker from Poloniex. He was with us from the start.
4. Clear menus.
5. Nice size and placement for the riecoin symbol a the top.

Not quite sure about the 3 boxes below the video they seem clunky somehow.

It's the one that ends in .exe.  Same dev fee, but this one is 9% me, 0.5% jh00, 0.5% clintar - I used his mingw makefile.

I'll be chipping that fee down over the coming days, but hopefully it's worthwhile running now even with it.

The alternatives are worse for the coin, I think:  If you look at what's happening with RIC right now, for example, there's one person solo mining 10% of the blocks with a private, super-optimized miner (not mine;  user a00k).  Supercomputing could be doing it too.  Any of the advanced miner devs could rent out a ton of machines quite profitably and mine on them.  But I think those approaches aren't nearly as good for the coin as having a lot of people interested in it and participating -- and finding huge prime clusters.  The alternative leaves every-day miners disgruntled at their block rates, which is part of why I'm releasing my stuff, beyond the annoying cheater on ypool.  Riecoin is cool and fun, and I want people to be having fun mining it and participating.

Even at this difficulty, I am solving 60-65 blocks per day with the pure x86-64 assembly implementation of my solo miner which is more efficient at higher difficulties. However, when the public versions catch up, we should easily reach 1536-bit difficulty, the race is on.

You're still ahead.  I'm mining 7% using a fairly similar set of resources on a private branch of my miner that's running in full-out block finder mode.  It's a bit of a shame - it costs me shares on ypool, but I really want to get the fairness issue worked out.

Eh - mine are all going to ypool and getting split up between everyone else.

I'll release the high-performance version as soon as we resolve the fairness issue a little more.  I'll probably do binary only to start to prevent 4chain patching.

I really doubt this coin is dead. Sure it is low volume but people are still mining this whether to dump or to hold. So its farrrrrr from death. I don't know how you guys define death? Price dropping? Because that would be pulling the trigger before gun is loaded kind of thought process.

However it will not run on a Athlon 64 x2 running windows XP 32 bit version.

Problem with this is that all coins have this problem..not just RIC. Because RIC only has 1 pool, it seems like a tragedy but every single coin has this problem. If you don't like it, buy 1000000000 cores.

That's correct - sorry.  The code has far too much 64 bit in it to be worth doing a 32 bit version.  It would be extremely slow.  Glad to hear it's working well on your i5.

Its not dead they are sayings it dead in order to buy it at a low undervalued price.  You can google those words, and investors who google "dead rie"and they will dump it by reading "dead" and in turn those saying "dead" are buying it and will profit once everyone realizes its truely alive.
