I suppose we have another dead shitcoin here.

Look, I kinda like you because it seems like you're into DRK. At first it was funny, but now it's just weird that you care so much about the failure of a coin that someone else took the time to make. Have you got something against cats?

lel. https://i.imgur.com/21rq0QC.png

One could almost say you're an adorable troll.
Do you mean this shitcoin is not actually dead? I guess you have to explain that to the bagholders, not to me. Smiley

Hey... Little Bitch... If it's such a shitcoin, why do you hang out and talk about it all the time? If you're just trolling, you are incredibly pathetic. If you're not, then my god, son... you're a complete and utter waste of flesh. Like seriously. Kill yourself. At least feed some worms.

I highly recommend hitting ignore on this sad little douche. I have. At best he contributes nothing but his sad little attempts to amuse himself. At worse he causes actual harm. Either way, there isn't a single one of you that will gain anything from hearing what he has to say.

Better yet... we could dump this ridiculous forum and talk on something better suited like, oh... i dunno... the kittehcoin forum? This place is just super fucking poisonous.

^
A bagholder has been touché! Wink

Trolling only works when you speak grammatical English, bud. Proceeding to ignore.

Thanks... Ignoring that cunt too now. Wish I had more info on the forums. Veremint might... prolly a good idea to hop on IRC.

We should focus on a p2pool and a stable network first. Second priority exchanges. Third, developement and PR.

Yes i'm new here but i like cats.  Grin

Liking cats is a good enough reason to get into MEOW! That's why I think this coin fills a great niche - the Internet loves cats; this coin is called MEOW  Smiley

Just adopted a new kitty - thought I'd post her picture here (why not?):

Followed  Cheesy - love your tweets!

I am not sure that MEOW needs a ton of new technology or features. It's a fun coin and maybe the best path for it is having a fun community - the cat version of DOGE, if you will. A twitter feed like yours is a great way to support the coin.

I am mining with my little 70 KHz USB miner and running a full node on a VPS to help keep the network stable. Every little bit helps!

Who do you rent your VPS off and how much does it cost?

I use digital ocean - $5 / month for a Linux instance with a static IP. I've been very satisfied with their service so far, considering the low price.

If you are interested, you can get a $10 credit by using my referral link (unfortunately they don't take KittehCoin yet  Wink).

I just followed the guide for Dogecoin: http://wlangiewicz.com/blog/2014/05/26/how-to-setup-a-dogecoin-node/

Everything is pretty much the same, except the port you want to open in iptables is 22566 Cool

If it is helpful, maybe I will publish a guide (crediting the original Dogecoin article) with KittehCoin specific instructions for setting up a full node.

Full Step By Step Below For Ubuntu!

Update and install dependencies

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
apt-get install ntp git build-essential libssl-dev libdb-dev libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev

wget http://miniupnp.free.fr/files/download.php?file=miniupnpc-1.8.tar.gz && tar -zxf download.php\?file\=miniupnpc-1.8.tar.gz && cd miniupnpc-1.8/
make && make install && cd .. && rm -rf miniupnpc-1.8 download.php\?file\=miniupnpc-1.8.tar.gz

    Note: Debian testing and unstable require libboost1.54-all-dev.

Compile the daemon
Download the source code

git clone https://github.com/kittehcoin/kittehcoin

Compile litecoind

cd kittehcoin/src
make -f makefile.unix
strip kittehcoind

Add a user and move kittehcoind

adduser kittehcoin && usermod -g users kittehcoin && delgroup kittehcoin && chmod 0701 /home/kittehcoin
mkdir /home/kittehcoin/bin
cp ~/kittehcoin/src/kittehcoind /home/kittehcoin/bin/kittehcoind
chown -R kittehcoin:users /home/kittehcoin/bin
cd && rm -rf kittehcoin

Run the daemon

su kittehcoin
cd && bin/kittehcoind

On the first run, kittehcoind will return an error and tell you to make a configuration file, named kittehcoin.conf, in order to add a username and password to the file.

nano ~/.kittehcoin/kittehcoin.conf && chmod 0600 ~/.kittehcoin/kittehcoin.conf

Add the following to your config file, changing the username and password to something secure:

rpcuser=kittehcoinuser-33c114d41730aeab234a87
rpcpassword=34910069e394ae6693ff52fc4968be09
rpcallowip=
rpcport=22565
listen=1
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1

You can just copy the username and password provided by the error message when you first ran kittehcoind.

Run kittehcoind once more to start the daemon!

Is KittehCoin only for Chinese cats? The pics on the first post make me think that.

@veremit
Newbie 22 post
Who are you and why are you in charge so suddenly?

@majsta
Can you speak on your back ground, and how much MEOW you hold/HODLz in the badtime.
What are the results of the irc?

@DanO
Update your pledge to pass (and to who) quickly if possible. please.

I'm not interested in MEOW past being responsible in my role handing things off to those willing to move it forward. To that end I can speak to who @veremit and @majsta are- they are Kitteh community members and marketers who were probably some of the most helpful non-fullon-dev community members I had the pleasure of working with while I was "lead" on this; they've been around as long as I can remember, ever since I inherited the project myself.

Veremit is actually the only one who stepped up to keep MEOW alive when I posted that I'd be stepping back, and if it were not for him Kitteh would be gone- that's why he's in charge "all of the sudden" Wink I think its more a case of he's been leading the community takeover thus far and keeping Kitteh on life support- now that it seems he's got more ppl willing to help I'll let you guys figure out the team dynamics and roles beyond that.

In regards to handoffs- @veremit should now have control of all of the main domains. The DNS still point to my boxes which I'd like to move/change ASAP. I also think I own some of the kittehcoin social pages which I'm happy to transfer ownership of. Please contact me on email or Skype or IRC (find me in #syscoin IRC as danosphere) because I do not check this thread often and its just by chance I saw this.

I currently still host/own (unless @veremit has since changed the DNS):
- main website
- main github repo
- block explorer
- facebook page
- twitter page (i think)

Happy to pass them all over, just tell me to whom, and I'd prefer it be coordinated with @veremit as he was the first person to step up to do anything when I announced months ago I had to step back; but doing it all alone is very hard (as he found out).
