I think this is the first time I have ever seen the BTC/per day go below .01 in this pool

At least everything else is running smooth now though. Hopefully something more profitable than litecoin crops up again soon.  Smiley

Technical problems contributed to this. Well, it wasn't worse than Litecoin. LTC was at 0.0087 today. We still had 114% LTC profitability. Which of course is one of our worse days as our long-term averages are higher. I believe we'll be up again tomorrow. We've been leaving some money on the table because of technical problems.

Terk, you said there was nothing more profitable at the moment.
I assume the system works with coins that have very little fluctuation, since I see Alphacoin, a coin with huge fluctuation, at 287% LTC right now.
I still see DOGE at 118% LTC, so I assume we are mining something like that.

Alphacoin has 0.8 difficulty and we are no longer mining it. We would find an ALF block every 0.5 seconds with our hashpower what would result in 70% rejected ratio. As for DOGE, I can only tell you to don't believe everything you see at Coinwarz/Coinchoose. You can also compare us to Waffle which publishes that they were mining LTC in 15% time of the last hour = 9 minutes. So they couldn't find anything more profitable during 9 minutes comparing to 4.5 our minutes.

Don't worry about my profitability engine. As a long-time closed-beta user you should know that it's really good!

Now that most of the technical problems have been handled, does that mean you'll be turning vardiff back on soon?

Yep, as a beta tester I can vouch for Terk and say that the pool was totally awesome, earnt a lot, just wished it realized I could leave my pc on whole day.

I would expect it to be up once EU and Asia servers are up.

Can I suggest a feature? I think that it would be quite smart if the pool refused connection to miners that used a worker not starting with "1", thus not a bitcoin address.

since the server update (nice work, @Terk), rejects (which for me were already pretty low) are a lot lower. but for the first time i am seeing the:
Code:
Rejected untracked stratum share from Pool 0
which several people have been reporting. this does not seem to be affecting my rejected percentage as far as i can tell. sgminer definitely does not think it is.

i am also getting a very large number of stales accepted. does this seem weird?:

Yes it seems to me that the problems have been fixed! 5% rejects is awesome, and once we have the EU and Asia servers it will get even better. Thank you so much Terk for this awesome pool. Now we just need the profitability to go up...
Anyways, Terk, I would suggest making an iPhone and Android app for this pool. That would be pretty cool.

are there any specific setting on a mining setup that would help lower reject rates using cgminer?

It's not weird at all. There are two types of stale shares in coin-switching business.

The first one is a stale share which is exactly like in a traditional single-coin pool. There was a new coin block and the pool sent a new job to solve. You miner solved an old job at the same time, so it's a stale share. Your miner sends this job to the pool anyway, bit it is rejected as it is trying to solve a block which already is solved.

Coin-switching pools have also a second type of stale shares. When the pool switches coins and sends a new job to solve for a new coin, but there were no new blocks for the previous coin. Your miner solved an old job at the same time, so it's a stale share. Your miner sends it anyway and it is accepted, because its solving a job for a previous coin which is still valid, as no new blocks for that coin were found.

This is why you should always setup your miners to submit stale shares at CleverMining. We are switching coins very frequently and you should always try to submit a stale share, because it can be still perfectly valid for a previous coin. It also can mine a block and earn all of us money just like any other non-stale share can.

With EU and Asia servers next on your todo list, can you also spool up an East Coast US node at some point?

My BTC address : 1JdEawmcCmaC9hZ3ayf41AY1C5HvDqxrJ1

Is there a problem in payout? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks in advance.

I've seen this as well. There were three payouts sent immediately one after another, because I limit single payouts to max 1000 users. This payout was the last of these three and it's spending a change from one of the previous payouts. Previous payouts are still not confirmed in the blockchain.

I believe it will show up after previous payouts are confirmed and our wallet re-broadcasts this transaction again. There's nothing to worry. Bitcoin network should take care about it and finally confirm t.

Id it won't show up within 24 hours, I'll deal with it manually.

I might think about increasing transaction fees in payouts to make sure they are confirmed faster. Currently I use default/minimum fees that the reference Bitcoin client uses as defaults.

Thank you for all the hard work Terk.  Really liking this pool over MC.  Hopefully you can maintain the consistent performance and communication.  Much appreciated.  Now go drink some beer.  Cheesy

The payout which Mining Master was asking about is already confirmed in the blockchain.

After 45mins reject is at 3.3%, website is reporting a higher reject rate than the pool. Tho I put this down to my location.

Also my hashrate is not being reported by the website, but I put this down to not mining long enough.

Thanks for all your hard work Terk.

Hopefully once the asian server is online and I've switched to it  my reject rate will reduce even futher.

Sorry for my bad attitude earlier. Other users not appreciating that I was just venting the frustration and responding me they way they did not help matters. I had ab ad attitude, so you reap what you soe. Anyway I'm a big boy and got over it.

I appreciate you are working on things behind the scenes, but I guess due to my location (you were sleeping) the silence was just eating at me.

To those concerned about 'rejected untracked stratum shares' - I too had this issue and FIXED it.

First off, only local cgminer considers it a reject - it is not an actual reject.

Secondly, I was able to stop them by changing my local LAN adapter settings - turning off 'Green Ethernet' , 'Flow Control' and 'Energy Efficient Ethernet'

I know this sounds bizarre but it absolutely worked for me.

I loved the pools nice charts, and great stats.

This pool over promises.  It says now front "All technical problems solved!".... seems all pools have some problems even if minor but they are 100 percent!

I used this pool for a little over a day.  On my computer i thought i was not doing bad on rejects when i checked online on their site a day later (yes i take blame for not looking at their side earlier) it was around 20 percent rejects.

With the huge percent of rejects it basically negates any positive mining.  Personally I would have been better to pick a alt coin even if not the best and mined it directly.   When was the last time "Last 24 hours: 0.01414 BTC/day per MH/s (160% Litecoin mining profitability)" was updated seems like it has been not updated on purpose.

I feel the front page should add a overall stat of rejects, show profit percentage over LTC AFTER average reject rate.  Sadly I liked the site a lot, but the pool I see going down in power.

I tried clevermining for 5 hours. I got 36% reject rates in 5 hours mining but I mined 0.00230624 BTC in 5 hrs at 900 kh/s. If you do the math that will be 0.011 in 24 hours. This is nice, even with high reject rates I still profited. I tried CM before but I only look in the reject rates, i did not look at the amount of coined I mined. My rejects are rejected untracked stratum share, what does it mean?

What are your current miner settings? Reject rate seems consistent with intensity 18 or above. I run R9 270x's @ 17 with 3-5% rejects at CM, but typically < 3% in other pools.

I'm seeing a wierd error message in cgminer while on this pool that I've never seen before:

Unknown Stratum msg: {"id":0, "result":[["mining.notify","eadbeefcaefabe3fb004000000000"],"3003dc9",4],"error":null}

I'm running CentOS and I have multiple windows open for multiple cgminer sessions. I do this because a couple different types of video cards that require different settings. Everything appears to be okay.

Note that when I say "I've never seen this before", it might be because I just always missed it. My mining rig has been rebooting randomly and I'm trying to figure out why. The same message shows up in all cgminer windows at the same time too.

My CGMiner version is 3.6.6
(Side question, what mining software is everyone using since CGMiner dropped scrypt? I had the idea this message is because I needed to upgrade CGMiner to a newer version or something)
