What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin?

The possibility of being hacked is certainly a disincentive.

However, the main thing at the moment is that BTC is own a generally downwards trajectory. Why buy unless there is a likelihood that the price will go up.

I suspect that BTC will eventually start to recover properly, rather than small recoveries followed by more falls. But, we're not there yet.

the most obvious is when the price drops dramatically in early 2018. Everyone must not believe and afraid to start investing. and they must be wondering what if bitcoin will actually disappear? but that is their mind, and I have my own thoughts on bitcoin.

People are always thinking about risks when they invest but when investing in bitcoin their fears grow because investing in bitcoins is a big risk. Bitcoin fluctuations have always been the cause the value of bitcoin changing every second making people lose money little by little.

One of the biggest factor that people or person who call themselves investors in investing is the insufficient information or knowledge they have
so to do that people must research more of it to better understand things about bitcoin before deciding to whether invest their or not
next is the hoax news or bad news they are hearing about bitcoin
this is one of the factor that stops and scares people in investing most especially social medias where people can tell what they want even if it has no basis at all. people who read it are being affected.

FUD is our biggest problem. People who don't have enough knowledge repeat what they hear on TV or read on the Internet. People believe in what banks and governments say about cryptocurrencies and try to discourage others from buying them. People are too lazy, they would like to earn as much as possible without risking any of their money. That's obviously impossible but many desire that.

Yeah you're right we know the influence of the government and the bank on one's economy and finance, of course what the government says will be the guidance for them, whereas the government does and implements the law according to their interests only, it seems that we should start working with the government

Only one factoe scares me from investing into bitcoin and that is the coins, ico, tokens, cash that are new in the system and has a great mission that will soon maybe one of the greatest enemy of bitcoin in terms of number of users and price.

One factor that people are scared to invest is that it is unstable due to the fact that people see it as an asset than a currency. Other factors is that it is risky due to that you will never know whether you invest in a legit ico or you've been scammed no matter how much you research that ICO. Also if you don't have any information on the crypto you want to invest.

I honestly don't think that will ever going to happen, bitcoin being replaced by an altcoin, at least not for now. What could possibly the idea of this new coin that will allow it to replace bitcoin, the base currency of all cryptocurrency. All altcoin users are using bitcoin because it's the base currency. Meaning, almost all coins have to be converted to bitcoin first before it can be exchanged to fiat money with the exception of top coins. Every altcoin coming out follow the same principle as what bitcoin has and the only difference is that they serve different purposes and has a different target markets. The target market of bitcoin is all of the Internet users looking for a way to transfer money efficiently and cheaply and frankly enough, bitcoin is doing a great job in making more and more users.

Just look at the facts. Litecoin has been released years ago after bitcoin came out. It is said that LTC is better than BTC but for a long time, it never occurred to people to embrace Litecoin and ditch Bitcoin. New coins are always claiming that they are going to conquer the cryptocurrency world and replace bitcoin but they are just doing that so many people will invest in their coin but it's all a joke. Bitcoin can never be replaced, at least not any time soon.

Most of the newbie member here in bitcoin talk forum don't know what to do if the bitcoin price goes down, they get panick and revert there attention to bitcoin. Lack of knowledge about the price of bitcoin, if they are only strong to be patient always and not lose it before they got here, there investment will be succesful, third is lack of experience in joining bounty campagne, I include this as a factor, because a lot them do not know how bitcoin really important is.

other than the volatility, the main factor is govt approval as in some countries it is not legal so people afraid of investing in. some people do not understand the virtual currency as it is not a commodity or tengible thing and product so they do not want to invest.

Many people joined in bitcoin because of the thought that it can help us to have additional income and we think and hope that through bitcoin we can be rich. But most people are also scared to invest in bitcoin because of its volatility where the price fluctuates and the people get panic and would think when the price will recover. Another thing is also the acceptance of the government. There are some countries who are accepting and maybe made the bitcoin legal, but there are also countries who banned it and made it illegal. I think these two factors are two of the most reasons why people are scared to invest in bitcoin.

 I believe as well that banning is one of the big reason why people are afraid on investing with us since they are against with their own government and they are a very big block in Bitcoin industry that they need to overcome.


Second is that they are receiving false information about rather than the reality of it.

I  believe that price volatility and legal status as the main concern for anyone to think of their involvement in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.  The lack of awareness is one of the major reasons for the people not to get involved with Bitcoin because they believe the media stories without doing their own research and trying to understand what Bitcoin and blockchain technology is all about and how it works.

actually a lot of reasons other people who make them reluctant to invest in bitcoin such as, bitcoin not protected by any country so they are afraid to invest, besides there are still some people who say bitcoin is a gambling field, but in reality not so.

Big factor I think " this is banned by some government". The number of countries which has banned Bitcoin is increasing. Other than it I think people can not understanding. This is new kind of money and hard to understand by commen man.
