CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

mint.charityminingpools.com

Come mine while making a difference.

Mandatory 0.5% donation fee goes to the BitGive Foundation this month.  We welcome and encourage you to donate more to a good cause.

STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups
0.5% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause

Who Are We?
CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good.  Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient.  Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

How Does This Work?
All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory 0.5% Donation fee.  This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month.  Though we only require a minimum 0.5% Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause.

Cheers!

hi guys, newbie & new to mintcoin, looks promising. mining now ! so does it mean as long as i have coins in my wallet & it'll start to mint (generate) coins by itself ?

any kind soul here to guide on how to solo mine ? atm, i'm mining at a pool.

Solo mining any scrypt coin is pretty much identical. If you dont know that, then probably you dont have enough mining power to solo this coin anyway.

just want a proper guidance so that i dont make any mistakes. i think i "may" have enough to solo mine mintcoin atm. have 8mhs+ mining power atm.

3. what does that mean in the wallet : Minting suspended due to locked wallet?
This says you can not do mining due to wallet encrypted.
you need to unlock the wallet in order to mine (for example for PoS blocks):
mintcoin-qt -server
mintcoind walletpassphrase <passphrase> <unlock_duration_in_seconds> true

8M/hs Scrypt? Holy crap dude.

OK, so it depends on what software you like mining with and your computing environment.

Here's an in-depth guide to mining in Windows with GUIminer
https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/399-newbie-proof-scrypt-gpu-mining-the-easy-way-windows-7/

And here's a primer for mining with CGminer
http://cryptosource.org/mining/configuration/

Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-dF8X2_aJI

In a nutshell, do this:

1-first go c:\user\yourname\appdata\roaming\infinitecoin

2-find file named infinitecoin.conf or add it by you

3-with any text editor open infinitcoin.conf and add: (NB change these for Mintcoin details)

rpcuser=choose a user name
rpcpassword=choose your password
rpcallowip=your local ip
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9332
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
addnode=63.246.129.56

4-download CGwatcher and install it and download (cgminer or bfgminer as you like)

5-start CGwatcher go to settings / manage profiles

6- click new -add a name to your profile like:IFC solo

7-localise you minerpath and add it (cgminer.exe or bfgminer.exe)

8-in miner arguments add : --scrypt -o yourlocalip:9332 -u yourname -p yourpassword

9-clik save and then click save setting

10- restart your wallet-qt first and now you can click on start mining in cgwatcher

enjoy!

<passphrase> = your pass
<unlock_duration_in_seconds> = 9999999

I don't have anymore "minting suspended due to locked wallet" in the bottom left corner of my wallet. But on the right bottom corner of my wallet I have green opened padlock, which says: "Wallet is encrypted and currently unlocked"

As an aside, RE: BTC/MtGox/Mark Karpeles "MtGox’s apparent closure also follows the leak of what is alleged to be a “crisis strategy document” from the company, which says that almost 750,000 bitcoins (currently worth more than £200m) are “missing” due to theft which went unnoticed for several years." ~The Guardian

"...theft which went unnoticed for several years" - Uh-huh. Right.

The 'true' Bitcoin price for sometime now is really around $500 - We may see it go lower, but I reckon $500 is around the current stable / actual price.

"minting suspended due to locked wallet "

Can anyone help me with it ?

is my wallet have a problem ?

Help guide for the minting !

Open you wallet, if it's not synchronized go to the first page of this thread. If it is, then go to  Help -> Debug window -> console

write this in :

walletpassphrase <passphrase> <unlock_duration_in_seconds> true

where

<passphrase> = your pass
<unlock_duration_in_seconds> = 9999999

FAQ

1.How can I be sure that I am minting right now my MintCoins ?
Answer :
I don't have anymore "minting suspended due to locked wallet" in the bottom left corner of my wallet. But on the right bottom corner of my wallet I have green opened padlock, which says: "Wallet is encrypted and currently unlocked"

2.Must I type walletpassphrase <passphrase> <unlock_duration_in_seconds> true every time that I restart my wallet? But if I closed it permanently it's ok, right ?
Answer :
If you keep your wallet close it's ok - you are minting , but you must open it every month or so and put the code in the console again.

Change the logo!  (looks blurry).  Get the domain.

+1 !!!!! I think it's very very important too !!!!! The logo in the wallet is very blurry. It's not professional and it's not fresh at all.
And to get the domain will be super good investment as well.

Good luck, I like MINT very much Smiley)
