I think so. During the World Cup, some bookmakers made huge profits. Of course, they will make money seem legal by laundering money. Virtual currency is a good choice. Of course, this practice violates certain laws, but it will not stop their desire for benefits. A large number of BTC and ETH transactions will follow, and prices seem to rise accordingly.
This is my personal thought. This may be naive and perhaps sensitive. Welcome to discuss.
Then those bookmakers who made much will just start cashing out their profits.

And if ever that happens the start of another dip will come, you know how things are coming when there are people that are taking their profits, whether it's from exchange or casino's.

Money will come out to the crypto market and it's also possible that the rise won't occur after World Cup.
Possible thing but can you consider on how much money would be taken out by those bookie owners? It wont really be that much for us to presume or consider that it would able to affect the overall market.Ive seen similar threads talking about this World cup thing connected or trying to correlate with the current situation of the cryptocurrency market which it turns out not to be really relevant on any angle.

World cup has nothing to do with the crypto prices even theres a usage on some points when it comes to bets but it wont really be too much.

I don't think the FIFA WORLD CUP is having any short time effect on the price of the cryptocurrencies... But will hope it rises soon though.

I do not think that football will be able to influence the cryptocurrency market.

I once told my friend that during world cup that the market will dip because a lot of people in crypto will sell off to sponsor their trip to world cup then after world cup, they will come back again and starts investing, so I believe after world cup, market will start to go high.

It is interesting idea, there is a grain of truth I did not think this way. The betting industry are huge so it is possible that during the world cup some transactions will be made using crypto technologies and it might affect on market positively.

I doubt that the world Cup and cryptocurrency are somehow connected with each other! You do not see a connection! Now the rate is steadily low, and here a couple of days ago still falling down.. I even glad such a fall! Because this is a chance to invest at a low price. Secondly, when a stable market rate is a dead market! Because there are no fluctuations in the course. there is no opportunity to trade!  When I saw a sharp decline I realized that the market began to fluctuate!  So soon will be again crazy growth!

I think that any world events affect the market and especially where there is a connection with bookmakers. Of course it may not be on this scale but they also launder money through cryptocurrency. But still, the main decline is due to the market correction and how the market will behave when the world Cup ends is not yet known, but I think the growth will come sooner!!

I do not understand what relation cryptocurrencies have to the world Cup? Perhaps some coins that are associated with the rates and will cost more, but the cryptocurrency market the world Cup will not affect. By the end of the world Cup, the cryptocurrency market should start to grow.

World cup had nothing to do with the correction that continues to hit cryptocurrency, even without this event, the bear period still coming because of different factors affecting it and whales manipulating the prices of cryptocurrency to be able to buy cheap

I do not think that the World Cup and the cryptocurrencies are somehow connected. I will be very surprised if after the World Cup , the price of bitcoin  goes up and you will proved to be right. The bears have dominated the market and we need to hold on sometime before the price would skyrocket again

I think there is no relation between the world cup and the price of ETH and BTC down, so I think before the world cup finished BTC and ETH prices are likely to rise.

There are also people saying that WC has influenced the current BTC prices. But it seems that this is just conjecture. Hopefully, in July, the market will improve.

Thats a good question. I am great believer of soccer and i think currently most of the crypto lovers has gotten engaged into the football. This is the reason there is no great movement in the crypto space currently. It could be possibility that whales are also engaged in the soccer betting or some sort of match fixing stuff as they have big fat wallets! (Reality  Roll Eyes) And thats why our crypto market has suffered a lot currently. As soon as the World Cup will end, people know where they have to head next and they will start putting back everything and more than the previous one into the crypto currencies. Thus, we gonna see huge pumps back in them soon enough. Just wait a month or so.  Cheesy

Do they really have anything to do? probably because many are selling Ethereum nor Bitcoin for World Cup. And it is certainly affecting the price of two. However, I am also not so sure if indeed both have linkages.

I don't think it will, totally different areas and as a matter of fact, people lose on gambling/sports betting. The price might recover, not just because of world cup finishing, it is about time to for it to recover, very hard year for crypto market. I don't panic though, good time to buy for thous who missed the train before.

yes hopefully when the world cup ends the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum will be back soon and if the Bitcoin price does not raise many people will be disappointed and so now many people are investing in Bitcoin with short-term waiting for Bitcoin prices back

I still look forward to this happening after the World Cup,this may seem like a reason, but I don't think that cryptocurrencies are widely used funds in gambling, and most large-scale bookmakers have not accepted cryptocurrencies yet.

I do not think so. As you can see the prices of cryptocurrency is falling sharply even when the world cup is ongoing. No sign of prices rising in the near future. Is there any connections between cryptocurrency and world cup? Disappointing market.
