You right, the market has crashed for a long time, but I want to say no one can predict in the future, even the price has dropped for a period, but I am full of confidence in the future, and believe the market will recover in someday.  Kiss

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It is sad but maybe unavoidable!
The only thing that can save BTC going under 6K is a big Whale buying BTC!
Sending BTC down is easier than sending it up: Less resistance. That is why it is going down! When it goes to a 3-4K the bears will become bulls: Opinion.
If you worried move into Tether and sit it out: Suggestion Only.
2 Billion down as I typed this: It looks real ugly
I agree with you, Whales can manipulate the price if they want to keep it in a stable situation they buy coins to ignite the pumping ability and right now it is most likely, they are dumping to acquire more coins during deep.

I think you're too pessimistic. The correction had to happen. Always when something is dramatically gaining popularity and then falls sharply at the time.

It's not a crash, it's because of japan news.
Japan is making a new regulation for cryptos and ask some big exchanges to recreate their system.
It's planned to make any crypto user is not anonymous.

I do not think that this is a big market crash, this is just a price reduction like the others, but this is all of course very alarming
the current situation has happened almost every month, I am sure that the market will not be stable in this year. yes, there will be a lot of panic back that decreases the bitcoin value.

I think you're on the right side, and it really is one of the possible scenarios. I still hope that the market will go on the mend, but for the past six months, the market is just falling.

A single whale can't control the current BTC. If we want the market to rise quickly, then we need cooperation between the whales to achieve this! For example, some trading platforms jointly launch new events! Or some developed countries recognize cryptocurrencies and set up legitimate trading platforms!

But this is how things are in the crypto world. Just imagine what havoc would Satishi's bitcoins wreak on the market if he decided to sell like 10% of his stash! On the other hand, crypto is not charity, here everyone is basically for himself. Everyone who enters this market should understand that. So speaking about cooperation between the whales is like suggesting cooperation between the wolves and the sheep. The only way whales would cooperate is to strip small fish off their money. Surely not how you fancy it.

I hope this is a temporary phenomenon. Bitcoin, according to many forecasts, will rise in price.

What is the point behind this silly FUD? Do you really think that you can accurately predict what will happen in this extremely volatile cryptocurrency market? No one can accurately predict in this manner. If you could, you would most probably not be spreading FUD in this forum op and would be spending big bucks everyday. I am expecting the market to bounce back by sometime in August thanks to a rally by Bitcoin, but I could be wrong and this is simply my gut feeling speaking. Everyone are aware of this risks involved with this market.

I haven’t read any forecasts that you talk about!
High profile people saying it will go up are those that have a shitload of BTC
The media are saying it will go down based on technicals and lack adopters etc

Take a deep breath, and look at numbers and market trends.

Drops like this are not unusual for crypto.
I can understand that it can seem terrible, especially as things were steadily going green this week.
I'm sure many had hoped that it would break $7000 this week.

There are always reasons behind crashes like these and it has been common for fridays to see huge drop offs.
Such a large price reduction in a short amount of time can be only thing: a huge selloff.
This could be Mt. Gox people, it could be other whales, it is hard to tell.

The price will stay low $6200 over the weekend and doesn't show any signs of going down to the 5000s.
Next week, it will stay stable as people are anxious about jumping in, then a week later it will go up again.

This year is a very vital year and a decider in the future of cryptocurrencies, a lot has happened since the turn of the year and series of bad news, countries banning cryptos, exchange hacks and many like events have contributed to the current year long bear market.
So in reality this is more like a big market correction than a big market crash, a lot will still happen over the remaining months this year but the way the community adapt to the current market trend.

Let's see what happens next because no one will know for sure about the future. Now that bitcoin and altcoin are falling back again, will tomorrow fall further down $ 6,000 or possibly again yawn? The Pope becomes the mastermind behind all these events, hopefully become more active and the market grows again.

This is not the first time and this is not the biggest fall, we saw a lot of unpleasant news, but Bitcoin always grew after the fall.

If you really, really  think that only Bitcoin buying whales could save Bitcoin and crypto, then you might as well just give up on Bitcoin. When you came into crypto, did you come as a speculator and a trader? Did you believe the whales were all there, waiting for guys like you to enter the market, and then buy up all the Bitcoin so you could become rich?

Face it. This market is normal but you can't handle it. The more people like you give up and sell now, the better.

Your attitude is what is destroying crypto!
The popularity metrics of BTC, etc are very low because of bitches with attitude!

Huh? no... your attitude is destroying yourself and it's not helping the "popularity of metrics for BTC etc". People like you speak doom and gloom when times are bad and then shout When Lambo when times are good. I don't care if this is bad for the market, or whatever, (It's not, nothing you can say or even I can say can affect the market) but for the sake of your own mental health, you have to get a grip of reality.

And if you can't, leave. Enjoy life and things you understand. Crypto is a risk, no question. If you couldn't understand that, stay away. Not for my good or the market, but for your own sake.

Nothing can be said with accuracy if bitcoin continues its decline, its price will become very attractive and it will start buying again. But we need a good news background.
