You cannot blame them because the paid media brainwash the people to discourage them to use cryptocurrency. What you can do is to explain it in layman's term so the people will know what is the benefit of having and using of cryptocurrency.

the negative image / the negative public view is definitely an important issue I think.... well, some time ago I also felt very skeptical about cryptocurrencies and bitcoin and so on, I wasn't really sure what to think about this topic... interesting topic, I think changing people's perception will be difficult if the domination of the community is apathetic towards new things, like in my country, most people here consider the controvesial technology like crypto is something that cannot be accepted without ever knowing what crypto is.
