I loved this coin from the start and glad to be apart of the community involved with it. It has a long future ahead of it.

starting to wonder if this coins coming back? a few days ? accurate estimates instill confidense

Bittrex is turning on their Rubycoin wallet, you will be able to withdraw normally. Deposits however will require 999 confirms as a security precaution until the switch to PoS happens– I will have an update regarding that soon!

Swisscex and Poloniex are re-opening their Rubycoin markets as well.

So mining will last for how much longer?

Awesome - Is there anyway to link your wallet to the market prices? Would be coool to see the dollar value as it fluctuates... Know what I mean??

Also - why did the difficulty almost double recently on rubycoin? did someone rent out some miners before this goes POS?

I do plan on having market information in the wallet. Maybe not initially, as I don't want to delay any longer than necessary.

People are excited about the switch. Rubycoin seems to be a hot topic on IRC these past few days.

What is the latest development with #RBY RubyCoin and why the coin is one of the top performers over the last month with SuperCoin?

3D Printing and Bitcoin, that's pretty cool.

The interest rate will be slightly higher than initially planned. Here is a new chart that shows the interest rate, it's still dependent on the total number of coins being staked on the network:

I noticed the blockchain is getting pretty close to 100k. Is that still the estimation for POS ?

I'm on the final stage of testing, getting close to releasing the upgrade to PoS. The exact block will be announced at that time, but it's looking like block 100k would be too soon– it's important to give enough time for upgrading.

Epic dump

Come to pappa

Couldn't think of beter timing to buy some more sweet and cheap ruby. Just before PoS.

Seller must have pushed the sell button by mistake instead of the buy button.

Cheers

Thanks for the patience everyone, working through the last few stubborn bugs. We surely have one of the best communities in crypto.

I just wanted to take a minute to make sure it's understood why this is taking longer than expected, but is in our best interest. The method I'm using for switching Rubycoin to proof-of-stake ensures that not a single coin is at risk. Although, upgrading right away will help secure the network and increase the interest rate, since it is community-dependent.

If you haven't seen the updated interest rate chart, here it is:

Cryptobot has its own thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703914.0

I'm transitioning Rubycoin to PoS and developing Cryptobot so I had to give priority to PoS (and the security of the network) - the list of beta users is at http://www.rubycoin.org/cryptobot/beta - if you are on that list and want a refund just send me a PM, or you can wait until after the switch to PoS (which is close enough that I can't give an estimate), at which point Cryptobot becomes my top priority.
