Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Yeah, mining this is actually fun now.  The initial 50 coin block reward prevented instamine.

http://ruby.hashrapid.com

Have your miners pointing to the stratum server at least 30 minutes before launch!  they will start mining automatically
once the wallet is compiled

Now at 500 blocks, nice to see almost 5 coins per confirm Cheesy

Dev even posted it IRC and didn't even give any credit to EchoingUprise the creator.

OK, so there is about 3GH~ on the network, and block reward just went up to 500... so i'm guessing (with a little maths) that it's gonna take around 2-3 days until that premine is equalled by miners?
