now see why they wont to buy them.. for me,, i still build rigs
look at what they ask of these cards... that is insane
It is ridiculous, 2 months ago they could be found for 350 average, retailers are jacking their prices through the roof to gouge us Check out the ridiculous prices on the 290x's now, they are between 700-900 each If you have an online retailer that will sell you 280x's for that price, please share the link, decent 280x value is rare at the moment Prices are just ridiculous right now. The 280x MSRP is $299.99 and the R9 270 MSRP is $179.99. Here is a R9 270 that makes 400kh/s cheaper than the Dual Asic Miner for $187.99 the only bad thing it's that you have to wait 2-4 weeks to get yours. http://www.shopblt.com/item/asus-r9270-dc2oc-2gd5-radeon-r9-270-pcie/asus_r9270dc2oc2gd5.htmlI think if that dual ASIC miner could make script 600 kh/s and cost around $250 would be good, but for only 300kh/s and 200kh/s in dual mode not so much. It's still no competition to GPUs, also it's not proven, will they burn in a month?

did you put the latest ufo.conf under the right folder (depends on the os)? http://ufocoin.co/wallets/ufo.confWith that it syncs right away. Just let it run for a few minutes.

This one looks too good to be true. https://www.flowertechnology.com/product/orchid/$1900 for 10Mh/s the problem is that release date is Q3 2014. Maybe for that time we can get cheaper GPUs or new versions with double hash rate. Mining UFOs at 10Mh/s just sounds delicious.

I'll check them out tomorrow or Friday.

Yes its the right roaming folder because its where I setup solomining other coins in that same folder. I redownloaded the main wallet again today and unzipped it to a different file ran it and it downloaded to the same spot. Then stoped again. Been trying to sync for about 2hrs stuck at same block. Any other files I should delete?, or should I just screw the coins I set to that address and move on?

Then erase all that ufo conf folder, start your wallet and then close it. Put ufo.conf again on ufo roaming folder. Start wallet again, let it run for a few minutes it will start downloading block chain again from block 1. Also make sure you are downloading the wallet from the link of the first post here.

I am building a dedicated rig just for UFO mining. Thinking of getting 5 x R9 280x cards and using 2 750W PSU bridged with the Add2PSU. The motherboard will have space for 7 PCIE cards, 4GB of ram and a intel celeron processor. What do you think?

TWO 750 PSU's are not gonna be enough power for 5 280x's and the rig, 5x280X along is 1500watts especially if you push them to the max, then you have to factor in 100-200 watts for your system

But I understand what you are saying I don't want them running on the limit of W there. But as a precaution can I put together 3 x 750 W PSU with the add2PSU? So maybe I can add a 6th card to the rig? Thanks for the help.

So maybe I can add a 6th card to the rig? Thanks for the help. your need little fix to this setup you will have problems to connect 2 psu to 5 cards and motherboard, you run out of molexies 3x550w psu will work but 3x600w to be sure my rig2 has now 1x550w 80 gold psu, 2x280x + motherboard supply rig1 has 3X280w psu, 1 for morhearboard, 1 for each gpu all gpus undervolted, else you will damage wires if you wish you can make it cheap, use 6x300w psus, 1 for motherboard, 1 for each gpu if it is build correctly you have no problems. there is some tricks to be done when multi psu setup. else you will kill your cards Another thing to watch out for is using Molex to PCIE power adapters, the molex rail is intended for a different type of power draw then the PCIE power connector and could potentially cause problems, read into this alittle more, 3x750 would work, be somewhat overkill but that is better then killing off some of your gear, also with 3x750 you would be fine adding a 6th
