Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver?

Because they already feel when the price of gold or silver is still cheap and now is very expensive then they are still investing in it. Maybe if you tell about bitcoin they will start investing too because they know that it will be very profitable.

The older people like investing in gold and silver , because this a heridetary practice from their ancestors that ,if you have a good supply of money ,you must immediately buy gold  or silver for investment keeping ,because it will used in the future, or continue to be asset , this is what older people learn from their parents , so they even used this in the modern world.

Most people of older ages love collecting gold and silver for investments.  It is good for fashion and could also use for emergency cases if you ran out of cash.

i think its because they believe in gold and sliver so they invest in these assets. and here are people who believe in crypto currency and thus invest in crypto currencies. its just a confidence in my opinion.

i think older people like or want to invest in gold/silver simply because they want their assets to be safe as possible. because gold/silver is a good store of value even the world will get a financial crisis. gold specifically is the safe haven for them. but like us who cant afford to buy gold or hedge gold we are most likely invest in investment instrument that is affordable for us. just like now, bitcoin is like a digital gold for this generation so young generation want to invest early even though its just speculation if this is to stay. the value of something is accepted because everyone accept it even though there is not intrinsic value.

in my opinion someone prefers to invest in gold for several reasons: 1. promised security and benefits. 2. Gold investment has a high level of privacy so that others cannot know how much gold we have. 3. the price of gold is determined by the value of gold and the international market. this causes prices to tend to be stable and increase every year. 4. gold is easily obtained and resold, that means gold has high liquidity. but in my opinion investment in any form has risks as well as gold investments.

It is about belief and i think that no one motivated old aged people to invest in crypto and they invest in the old commodities like Gold and silver and they don't know that how to buy crypto what it is and how to use it so that's why they are not coming to invest in crypto.

I believe some people just truly enjoys collecting a variety of gold bars and silver bars from different manufacturers around the world, and I knew some bullion manufacturers does also launch out gold coins and silver coins with an unique design in limited quantity and some collectors are even willing to spend huge amount of money to buy it, this is also one of the reason that attract some investors to invest their money into gold and silver, as they believe they might be able to sell those gold coins and silver coins which are minted in limited quantity at a good price in the future.

Older people has been so fanatic of physical assets like gold and silver because of it's popularity, that gains more demand in terms of fashion and values. However the investment it takes for so long wasn't so fast to grow of it's price in the market. Some people prefer to have personal deals in selling their wealth which was considered as most precious assets, that can be sold when there's an emergency need for fiat money.

Because  the prices of gold and silver are stabilized, generally,older people like stability and don't like things that change too much. Moreover, I agree with that aphorism: gold is the best hedging tool.

Well gold is an old school of investment because new generations had embraced new kind of investment and that is cryptocurrency. We had to get the new trends though the old school is still good but still i consider cryptocurrency as best investment compared to gold/silver.

I think that is because many people choose to invest in something that has a physical form such as gold or silver that has a physical form and can be held.

Because they are a generation older and prefer the old methods over the new ones. Investing in gold is too expensive now and in my eyes doesn't classify as investment anymore.
