As far as I know, older people like to invest in gold because these precious metals are worth something and they are used to owning these precious metal and when they need money instantly or if there is an emergency, it is easy for them to pawn it and so they think it is really a good investment, just like bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies now wherein you hold them but if ever you really need the money for emergency cases you can easily convert them and withdraw them.
The reason why they prefer to invest in gold and silver is because it is precious stone that has a high value on market and every year the value of gold and silver are increasing. Most of the elderly have more knowledge about traditional trading like gold and silver. We all know that they can easy convert it into money because gold and silver is a very precious stone.

I think of their mindset that requires investing in gold or silver, because the crypto world is a new world for them and they don't want to risk losing assets.

I think they prefer to use them in their periods because they see the guarantee as income and they don't have any problems in terms of reliability. In particular, we can clearly say that such people are not able to keep up with new technologies, they do not trust the banks and they have turned to this area due to their low income. Due to their inability to keep up with the new technologies, we can show that they do not rely on revenue opportunities over the internet and crypto coins which are today's technology and that they find these investments risky due to these reasons. Also, if we need to look at the habits of old people, we can see that they usually invest in land, field and gold / silver style.

I'm not one who would invest in precious metals, but I have noticed that a good amount of the older generations are pretty keen in investing in these metals. They see it as a way to bet against the market, and a security that will always be safe -- even in the times of a market downturn/country failure as a whole.
I personally wouldn't even want to buy these metals in those events, as I don't see the reason to. I'd rather invest in securities that go up when the market shits itself (Payroll lending companies and so on and so forth)
Does anyone here know the reason behind people loving precious metals?
I think because they already know the risk risks that will occur in front of each investment instrument so they prefer investments that have low risk and low return for more security, and a stable return for the future.

Since among us and they have hole about age Actually, more seasoned individuals dependably have a ton of stresses and I don't think they are keen on putting resources into Crypto in light of the fact that they are apprehensive on the grounds that Crypto is so new and it resembles a virtual thing, they can not see it and can not deal with it. What's more, Bitcoin have a gigantic hazard and it isn't esteemed by any model and fears this is a mental diversion.

I don't know the reason to it but I do know that precious metals possess low volatility compared to cryptocurrencies. Another aspect is also they are not totally educated about crypto and investing in gold and silver is the traditional way of investment where older people trust.

in my opinion, from the many choices of investment instruments, depending on our nature and preferences, if you like something that is high risk high return, then crypto cucuk for you, if you want things that are lower risk low return, eat gold and silver the right choice, back to taste each individual

Because between us and they have gap about generation In fact, older people always have a lot of worries and I do not think they are interested in investing in Crypto because they are afraid because Crypto is so new and it's like a virtual thing, they can not see it and can not handle it. In addition, Bitcoin have a huge risk and it is not valued by any model and fears that this is a psychological game. I have met many old people and I told them about Bitcoin, as a result I was scolded for daring to believe what the internet said, oh my gods @@ yes, their reason is clear, first parents certainly don't understand crypto and surely they don't want to occupy something they don't understand, the second factor is because they always want to be able to see their money not to disappear. .. it's normal ... crypto is for the next generation of young generation, not for people who are old because the way parents think tends to be monotonous in contrast to the current generation who really like something new and like challenges. Funny but true. I don't say gold is an investment for the older generation. but gold is indeed very popular as a safe and profitable investment in their era. while crypto is not suitable for them because they will not understand about this technology There's another reason which is not the existing of bitcoin and the existing of GOLD and silver. People can secure their gold but not bitcoins.

I think they see these as the real asset that do not depreciate with time, so they feel more secure about it. And their generation is use to the gold and silver as been the real valuable asset of security.
This is true. This is really the generation gap. Their generation preferred this kind of investment. They uses it since then, that is why probably they trust it more than the cryptocurrency or the bitcoin. It is the psychology itself not the market's problem. But then time will come, started to this generation, people will love to invest in cryptocurrency.

For example, my grandmother asked me to invest a small part of her money in bitcoin! Not all older people invest in precious metals or invest at all.

It gives us a confidence when both values are stable over time, while cryptocurrency is just a toddler, it has not built any prominent image in people's minds, dangers and risks are what people can see most clearly, and in comparison, not only older people choose gold and silver, even myself prefer gold and silver, instead of cryptocurrency.

In my own understanding about this concern is that people who say that "gold/silver is THE real money as it has been so for thousands of years" fail to understand that it can be replaced regardless. Just as horses have been THE means of fast transportation and travel for literally thousands of years and then the automobile came. Thousands of years of history didn't matter. Crypto is the equivalent of the automobile. Gold/silver will never be used as money for everyday transactions ever in the future, and people who fail to understand this will be left behind and will die waving their canes that gold will be real money again someday.

Well, older people doesn’t even like to change their simple daily habits. They feel safe when they choose the old classic way. And also it’s kinda hard to open their mind for technology, they all think that crypto is just a trap. I understand and i don’t blame them. Young people much more open minded and brave to try new things like investing in bitcoin.

I'm still bullish on gold and silver, it looks like fiat currencies around the world are starting to suffer from hyperinflation, it will eventually affect the USD as well so its smart to keep some of your funds in gold.

I think it because people have a perception that gold and silver are commonly accepted materials that have value. Since gold and silver could retain its value and the price is increasing from the past up to today, the older people thinks it's a no brainer to just invest in it.

maybe because gold and silver is a transaction tool from time immemorial and gold or silver this also has a very high demand and currently gold is very difficult to obtain so they prefer to invest in gold or silver.
