Blockchain Sharding Brings Scalability Benefits and Security Risks

Bitcoin and Ethereum have been said to face scalability problems since they can only handle about 3 to 7 and 7 to 15 transactions per second respectively, which would be insufficient to handle payments as adoption becomes more widespread globally. Blockchain sharding is a proposed protocol change that would increase cryptocurrency transactions per second to better compete with networks like Visa.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

ETFs Could Drive Bitcoin Price Up to $35,000

According to cryptocurrency expert Michael Strutton, once Bitcoin exchange traded funds (ETFs) become a reality they could drive Bitcoin’s price up to USD 35,000, well above the record high of USD 20,000, since ETFs would allow people to buy Bitcoin with the same platforms and mechanisms used to buy stocks. Currently, no Bitcoin ETFs exist in the United States due to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, but there is at least one organization in talks with the SEC to create the first Bitcoin ETF.

In my opinion. bitcoin prices can soar to any extent and are unaffected against fiat currencies. because bitcoin can not replace the fiat currency as a whole or whole. fiat currency will remain and bitcoin will be the payment option for business. so the bitcoin and fiat currency will remain.

Yes, it would take a real cataclysm to wipe out fiat. Its clear Bitcoin will grow a lot bigger though. Smiley
