Crypto Mining Still Possible on Home PC with Honeyminer, Minergate One aspect of Proof-of-Work (PoW) cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin is that they can be generated via mining. Mining is a process where a computer solves cryptographic hashes to group transactions into blocks and add them to the blockchain. When a block is found, the miner or miners who worked together to find it receive a block reward. Mining secures the cryptocurrency network and the rewards are distributed to miners to give them an incentive to keep maintaining the network. Hello cryptocurrency enthusiasts, traders, investors, innovators, miners, and advocates! I will be posting BitcoinNews articles and videos in this thread, from https://bitcoinnews.com/ . We cover the full spectrum of Bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrency news with about 10 new stories being published per day. I hope you find the videos educational, and I will always be checking in to answer any questions, comments, or critiques. To start, here is a video about hyperbitcoinization, an optimistic way to start this thread ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Hyperbitcoinization: The End Of Fiat Currency, $100M Bitcoin? Hyperbitcoinization is defined Bitcoin commentator ObiWan Kenobit as “a theoretical state wherein Bitcoin displaces legacy currencies and becomes the dominant if not only method to exchange value”. Hyperbitcoinization was first discussed by Nakamoto Institute founder Daniel Kraswisz in 2014, and ObiWan Kenobit thinks it could lead to Bitcoin prices as high as USD 100 million per coin. Read the full article at https://bitcoinnews.com/hyperbitcoinization-the-end-of-fiat-currency-100m-bitcoin/Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/6SlPtBB-eAwThanks for the site and I truly enjoyed the video. Crystalization is truly the best dream every bitcoin holder has right now. But, I don't think that fiat money will be extinguished by bitcoin that easily. A million dollars per bitcoin is large enough for me and it will really give me a step up financially thus, making 100 million dollars per bitcoin still almost impossible.

ICE to Launch Exchange, Physically-Settled Bitcoin Futures The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), owner of 23 exchanges worldwide including the biggest stock exchange in the world, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and many futures exchanges and clearing houses, is creating a cryptocurrency exchange called Bakkt. Starbucks and Microsoft will be major partners of Bakkt and will begin accepting Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Even though this is all huge news, the biggest news might be that Bakkt is planning on launching physically-settled Bitcoin futures by November 2018, which would be a mechanism for institutional investors worldwide to easily buy Bitcoin.
