lol you better use another exchange , they are the biggest scam exchange at the moment and I would literally trust yobit more than bittrex
an exchange who decide steal residents of some countries their money without even a legal force can't be trusted

it's been over 4 months and bittrex hasn't paid their debt to Syrians , Iranians , Cubans and many more nationalities

I agree with you that it is better to use Yobit than Bittrex. Bittrex is not a crypto exchange, it is most likely a fraudulent/blackmailing enterprise to me.
If you don't want users from Syria, Iran, Cuba or any other countries then simply return back their money and say goodbye to them. Isn't it a simple and right thing to do?

It is intolerable to hodl users fund months after months. Who will be responsible for losses of those users?

They
did you "verify" who "they" are? :\ hmmm

Bittrex sub contract part of the verification process I think.   I also was able to pass, bit upset that I dont remember receiving an email on the issues but at least it was possible to resolve the problem after the fact with some effort.
I have also since contacted them to change my details, again required more use of a government photo id and contact over a week but it was done.

The last issue was with ETH deposits which were not being credited, this has taken over a month but the last deposit did dislodge all the parts made previously so that too has been resolved.    Just calling it how I see it, obviously peoples experience varies but I hope it also gives some hope to anyone waiting that they do work through issues.   There are worse companies out there to be bound to.

the worst part of this action of them is that not only they never gave any warnings to these users but also they used to say they have no issue giving service to people from these countries. i have seen proof that people contacted them from these countries and clearly asked them if they can sign up and make a deposit and they said "it is ok". then all of a sudden without a warning they decided to change their mind and rob them.

Exactly this is what happened with those countries. Whatever they have in their mind, they should return back the money with compensation now.
In some site when we visit, we see an msg telling "we are not accepting users from your country", so they could also do the same, so that no one from those countries get involved with them.

They just blurred out the whole simple thing for their own greed maybe.

hi

does Bittrex collects stakes on LISK coin ?

Lisk is not a PoS coin, it don't stake, you need to transfer from exchange to you personal wallet, and then vote for delegates, that give a % of DPoS coins, that they earn, back to voters.

Ok..  thank you so much for your reply .. i really appreciate it

1

but i mean does bittrex do that with my and our coins .. i mean does bittrex "transfer our coins from exchange to a personal wallet, and then vote for delegates, that give a % of DPoS coins, that they earn, back to voters."

2

Plz what about the POS coins does Bittrex collects stakes from ?

** and i really dont asking like that to claim those stakes but i'm asking for another important reason

1) No exchanges will do that for you you have to download the lisk nano wallet, install on you computer generate a passpharase (that is your private key) then with this wallet configured, you have an address where to transfer your coins outside of the exchange, and then with the wallet itself you can vote for delegates. This is the official bitcointalk thread about lisk https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.0;topicseen you can find further infos there, or ask in that thread, for what you don't know.

2) The majority of exchanges (and i think bittrex too) don't do service of staking coins for the users, all staking income, are kept by the exchange, so is not good to leave staking coins on exchanges, if not for trading. There are some services that acts like a pool for staking coins, but i don't know if are trusted, only site that i know and use, that have an exchange and give staking profits to holders with coins on site is btcpop.co.

that is exactly what i'm asking for ..
well you mean that bittrex collect the income of DPOS and POS of our coins and they takes for them selve ?

Probably they take income from PoS, not for Dpos, because the wallet need to vote for the delegates to receive a reward (if delegates voted, give some lisk back, and not all delegate do that) i don't think that bittrex take time to vote for delegates with the lisk wallet of the exchange.....

But yes for PoS coins for sure they take the earnings for themself... all exchanges do that, that's why pos coin imho have to stay on exchange only for the strict time needed to do operations, and then reverted back to personal wallet to have the pos stakes credited.

And in general, all coins (pos pow or whatever) that are not involved in trading, is a good rule, not to keep on exchanges, where you don't own the private key, as if the exchange have a problem, you are at risk of loosing your money, because without a private key in hand, you don't have control over that coins, you are trusting a third party in managing the security of keeping safe your money.

I dont know about all of them but I'm a holder of some Proof of stake coins since 2014 and the exchanges have never taken part in staking or transaction confirmation that is the purpose to holding a live wallet and being part of the network.

Exchanges are famous for being attacked and compromised and the basic security most take is not to leave assets open in a single hot wallet.    I dont believe any take part in cold storage staking if that were possible.
You can tell Bittrex is not secretly staking because they form such a large percentage owner of many coins.    Their absence raises the rate of return for all the small holders.    What might be 2% return turns into over 5% because so many coins are left trading on exchanges not really in control of the owners.
Bittrex has a giants footsteps, if they made moves to do anything in secret we can tell because it shows up on most coins transactions.

You definetly should be holding any POS coin because they need you to provide security, distribution and help confirm transactions.   You are basically enlisted as a simple miner, its what makes these coins so cheap to use and adds network value.   Bitcoin has the big problem of a piper it must pay constantly to hash transactions, a few big commentators have noted its an increasing drag on its efficiency and ongoing operations.  Ripple thinks they will take over now partly due to this reasoning, I hope not so please do Stake.

ETH may switch to POS later this year, fairly massive news as I rate ETH a contender to the throne and that switch (to lower fees) might even do it

The world-famous Bittrex exchange is engaged in financial frauds!

Thousands of people have already lost millions of dollars because of fraud, and it lasts more than 3 months!

The global scandal with thousands of accounts that could not be verified at the exchange is only a small part of the problems that await all users of Bittrex.
In autumn of 2017, the exchange froze the accounts of all users from the Crimea, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba. Without warning, without explaining the reason and without the possibility of withdrawing their funds! Millions of dollars in thousands of disabled accounts remain blocked until now. All cryptocurrency mass-media informs about problems with verification but none of them writes about THOUSANDS of disabled accounts all over the world. And please pay attention, that Bittrex blocked not only accounts of clients but also they blocked their access to Support Team, and all people were left without any assistance or consulting! Isn’t it a proof of their hidden reasons and fraud? They had nothing to say to clients and they just prefered to reply on numerous messages with the help of automatical programmed-bot.

Of course, this caused a wave of indignation and incomprehension among users who were looking for explanations in the support service, but all appeals were ignored for more than 3 months !!! Gathering all the information about this terrible violation, users agreed that the exchange blocked all people who indicated in the basic registration the cities from regions listed above.

This step is a political manipulation to create fraudulent activities with accounts! Recently, after a wave of mass complaints to various departments (including mass-media and BBB), the support service finally reacted to the blockage, confirming all suspicions - as they informed, the problem allegedly concerns the US sanction territories.

However, please note that this explanation is completely not logical, because if the problem is in sanctions, then the exchange did not have to give permission to register users from Crimea, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Cuba at all! Many users underwent enhanced verification and sent documents to the support where their place of residence is shown, and the documents were accepted without any problems!

The US has sanctions for a huge number of territories except the regions listed above, but users of other countries use the services of the exchange without problems and restrictions!
https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Pages/Programs.aspx

Before registration many users asked support, whether it is possible to create an account to people from the sanctions countries, and the answer was YES. There is evidence and a letter from the man chief of  support team!

If the exchange refers to sanctions as the reason for the blockage, then it is necessary to provide official documents and evidence, but users did not see any arguments.

It is worth emphasizing that the law about sanctions applies only to economic transactions with the residents of certain countries. The US does not recognize the cryptocurrency as money, accordingly, the law about sanctions mentioned by the support of Bittrex, can not be an argument!

This proves that the law is mentioned only to cover the true reason for the blockage - fraud with funds of Bittrex clients.

Even if we assume that the reason is still in sanctions, the exchange was obliged to inform users and give them the opportunity to withdraw funds from accounts !!! As other exchanges have done!!

It's worth mentioning that in the similar situation other exchanges, such as Poloniex, gave clients an opportunity to withdraw funds, thus they showed their honesty and responsibility.

The political situation does not give them the right to keep other people's money and manipulate them for getting profit!

One more essential proof of the fraud is the fact that Bittrex also blocked accounts of some users with deposits more than 100,000$ from countries which are not included in the sanction territories list. It is an essential evidence that the real reason of disabling the accounts are NOT sanctions of the USA, but financial manipulations with funds! Small amount of these accounts were enabled only in January, 2018, when exchange rates of cryptocurrency decreased, and it was profitable to do it.

All facts above show  the conclusion - the exchange is engaged in financial fraud and misleads the world community! The use of its services is stupid and dangerous for everyone, since the exchange and its management can at any time do whatever they want with the users' funds  without explanations and reasons!
Now the users from the Crimea, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba do not intend to leave this crime without punishment. Facts about the fraud of the exchange will be shown to world community and distributed in the web.

If Bittrex and its  management do not react and enable accounts, more radical measures will be taken, including appeals to law enforcement agencies.

Blocked users apply for assistance to all external sources. We must stop the fraud!

If there is someone from Bittrex on this topic I would like to ask will exchange support upcoming Ethereum Classic (ETC) - Callisto fork.

I know that a lot of people have been asking about this on ETC thread and didn't get any answer so what better place to ask this than on Bittrex thread.
