Of course there is a connection between bitcoin and altcoins. During the fall of bitcoin, people begin to sell altcoins for bitcoin, then to sell the bitcoin itself. This is done so they can buy bitcoin cheaper. But if you are a beginner, I would not advise to do so, because not everyone has time to buy bitcoin cheaper.

Somehow there is a relationship. Bitcoins and alt coins have been battling it out in the market so when bitcoins, the main competition goes down, typically, the whole market goes down with it because of lose of trust in the system and even panic selling.

It is more that we see that the alt coins lose more value instead of Bitcoin. The reason is about the dominance and the fact that Bitcoin is strong. The dominance is now above 50 per cent.

To my regret there is a strong relation and altcoins drop even more than bitcoin.
i don't know what will happen in future,but I hope that altcoins will be less dependent on btc fluctuations.

Bitcoin and altcoin are directly proportional to each others. Bitcoin is the first coin that discovered and some technology that other coins uses is the same as bitcoin.  If bitcoin price goes down in the crypto market, later some altcoins will dump also. I don't know where did you look at but what I see is that the all market is going down. For sure there are a few spikes here and there but in reality every coins is loosing in value right now.

We should not worry about it but instead take this as a challenge to have more patiemce and deal with the possible changes that we might encounter here in cypto world. There would always be lots of changes but things would surely get better once the market recovers back. It is a part of crypto's votality and we must just be smart to handle the dip.

it's normal because we know that bitcoin is dropping can not just stay worth of altcoin because this is their marketing strategy when they break the bitcoin they can lose.

Well not really. This cannot be possible in all cases. Indeed bitcoin was the first coin but that does not mean that prices of PRG, ADA and XRP shall be influenced by the price of bitcoin. They have their own worth.

this is what i'm trying to point out. that the bitcoin is very important not only to the cryptocurrency industry but for us too. if the bitcoin gone i am sure it will not only a big affection but mass or in the worst case this industry would be gone . because all alternative coins are only depend in the price of bitcoin and if all coins are gone there's no reason to stay.

Bitcoin will not be gone, and in fact this will be ghe the most and demand currency in the world right now when it comes to profitable investments. If that happens it will be abolish or will be removed from our financial systems, I guess many people will become disappointed with that. Many holders didn't dump their coins in order for the value to rise even double or even triple.

I don't think it's entirely like that, the influence of bitcoin is only on market movements. if bitcoin decreases it makes the market go down because of the enormous power of the bitcoin value. not all depend on bitcoin, take a look at some of the ico coins that have managed to rise, that is because of the development of the project. if the market assesses a good project, the value will rise.

I think many Altcoin are traded with Bitcoin. So once the price of Bitcoin falls, it will bring the effects of that relationship. When I see the market, Bitcoin increases the price but Altcoin will go down. I think it starts just Altcoin that goes down and recovers to raise prices like Bitcoin.

For me, this is just a normal because it was decentralized which the market will only who can decide, I'm not saying that this is the time to let go cryptocurrencies but instead of that you must hodl all your coins and if there's a fluctuation then sell all your coins.

It is not surprising that after decline of bitcoin the price of altcoins falls too. The bitcoin is the most important cryptocurrency and so to speak the guarantor of all others. If the price of it fell there is panic and the price for other cryptocurrencies falls too.
