I'm keen to develop a lightweight wallet (I've worked with Bitcoinj before, so I can probably do this easily).

So that will mean a multibit equivalent for The Cypherfunks.

Or would you guys rather want a Twitter/Reddit tipbot first?

light weight wallet - don't think it would make a difference now. Though it could be a bonus for popularity! Tipperbots? (Oh, they just aren't my thing at all) But hey, that really just seems to be me Smiley

I had this idea to create a musical "faucet". We use the block hashes as seeds for 2min audio segments. The produced segments are just then random (with slight order) noise that musicians can use as samples.

I like it. Thoughts? Need to dust off my web audio skills again.

Whoa! Getting out of hand here.

After the radio interview, got a call to be on national television in South Africa (SABC) about "The Cypherfunks". Let's hope this turns into community support.

Wow, that's some great news Simon!

Let's do some mining for our great little network here!

Let's make sure we get this P2Pool going again properly!

Use the following settings for your miners:

URL: stratum+tcp://94.23.196.92:36363
USER: your_wallet_address
PASS: 123

queue=0
scan-time=2
expiry=8
(for better / lower rejected rates)

Statistics and Informations are available here: http://94.23.196.92:36363/static/

Let's do this! Throw on some tunes and dial into our P2Pool!

I got 780khs in it from one 7970 and already found three block. Let's get our shares up and find some blocks. Let's make mining a fun thing to do! A small group. Interesting hardware. And some luck for blocks Wink

It's my watercooled 7970 at 1095:1830 (925:1375 is reference clocks^^ I game with it at 1188:1800)

Great news Simon. Congrats.

To get really great community support though, you need 2-3 failed launch attempts, a huge pre-mine and insta-mine, no dev support, and a coin that doesn't bring anything new to the table.  Unfortunately, Funk doesn't have any of these qualities going for it.  Grin

How much Funk are you guys mining per day with the 7970 on the P2P at the current diff?  I get around 1.5M at Novahash, but open to switching.

Give it a try. Wink as long as we're finding blocks it's working good. Though the first payouts might be a little lower due to 4hrs PPLNS - but you can see it raising in the graphs. Also keep in mind that payouts continue after you stop! Wink

As long as you're a constant miner, you shouldn't notice anything negative.

Thanks, I'll try it tonight.  Nice press.  I'm spreading the word to musicians every chance I get.  I'm looking forward to a lot of great Cypherfunks music.

What cgminer settings are you at?
Queue? Scan time? Expiry?

We wouldn't want to waste hash power Wink

Haha. You have no idea. It's suddenly got wings in ways I didn't imagine.

I like the Coindesk post: http://www.coindesk.com/coins-for-bands-disrupt-music-industry/. Although Danny somehow misspelt the name every time. Wink

I'm the CTv..address, so not too bad.  I usually don't even bother with including those, as I've never noticed a big difference.  I'll have to check.  I copied and pasted quickly.  What do you suggest?

R9270 and 5770 are the only two I have going atm.

The other miner is wasting almost as much as I'm giving  Cry

Edit:  I can look up the numbers for that if you think I need them.  I have them somewhere.
