Was there something else? Oh yeah. We plan to do this more often. Every 2 - 3 weeks. Next time I'll be willing to do the dreaded Google chat, just to avoid the tinychat issues which made communication difficult.

A quick reset fixed it. Sorry about that. We can try either and see what works. Listened to more of cernfusion's contributions. This is epic: https://soundcloud.com/cern-schmelce/yellow-moon

Guys. It seems the blockchain is stuck. There was a 20min block gap that pushed the diff way down, and it seemed like introduced a flaw in the KGW. It possibly wrapped around, causing it to spike to a diff of 1 for some reason. Seems to be still stuck at a diff 0.1 (which is too high for the current hashrate). If someone could throw some hashes at it to see if it breaks loose, it would be appreciated. Here are 2 pools. http://p2pools.org/funkUnless we figure out what to do, or get some more miners, the chain won't be sustainable. Shitty day for FUNK. What can we do??

(i posted this at the same time as above, ...) what is wrong with a low hash rate when almost noone is buying? a lower hashrate supports a higher selling price. allcrypt's floor is carpeted with FUNKs @ .00000001. i just don't get it??? i took a month or two off from mining CF, as there was no market, though at least now one can raise some cash (and help distribute the FUNK) selling for doge i think wide distribution becomes extremely important when someone like me, with less than 1 mh can mine about 1% of the total money supply, which i was maintaining until i went mining elsewhere abt 6 weeks ago -- i guess that might be a good reason to open up to more miners, come to think of it anyway, reason for posting this AM is i'm solo mining FUNK, (and doing GREAT, but) ... but the wallet keeps loosing synch. the miner just stopped about an hour ago, the wallet complaining it's two hours behind ... nodes? debug.log: 2014-06-26 11:51:10 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:10 trying connection 78.25.120.144:33666 lastseen=3005.1hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:15 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:16 trying connection 115.152.3.244:33666 lastseen=94.6hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:21 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:22 trying connection 173.22.193.248:33666 lastseen=1409.8hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:27 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:28 trying connection 62.158.131.59:33666 lastseen=39.4hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:33 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:33 trying connection 71.182.156.193:33666 lastseen=2225.0hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:38 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:39 trying connection 31.13.144.53:33666 lastseen=1238.4hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:44 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:45 trying connection 198.52.103.59:33666 lastseen=2999.6hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:50 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:50 trying connection 25.19.236.80:33666 lastseen=2487.9hrs 2014-06-26 11:51:55 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:51:56 trying connection 116.24.49.53:33666 lastseen=1807.6hrs 2014-06-26 11:52:01 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:52:01 trying connection 194.68.104.18:33666 lastseen=1488.0hrs 2014-06-26 11:52:06 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:52:07 trying connection 113.119.137.201:33666 lastseen=3000.8hrs 2014-06-26 11:52:12 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:52:13 trying connection 111.77.83.22:33666 lastseen=13.0hrs 2014-06-26 11:52:18 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:52:18 trying connection 105.236.155.13:33666 lastseen=171.9hrs 2014-06-26 11:52:23 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:52:24 trying connection 31.13.144.30:33666 lastseen=188.9hrs 2014-06-26 11:52:29 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:52:30 trying connection 2.95.230.16:33666 lastseen=1976.5hrs 2014-06-26 11:52:35 connection timeout 2014-06-26 11:52:36 trying connection 59.19.119.15:33666 lastseen=467.2hrs
i have my r9-280x pointed somewhere else atm, but it's about 12 hrs since it's found a block, so should hit soon, when it does, if the wallet is working, i'll hook up with FUNK @ the p2pool for a few days

Like I said in the previous post. The chain is stuck atm. The KGW retargeted so hard, it wrapped (I think), setting the diff higher than it should. I'm renting a rig and throwing some hashes it at for the next 3 hours, to un stuck it. So yes. It would say, it is losing sync.

Thanks Groggin! Right. So we have 1.4MH/s online. Seems to be still stuck. Might have to hire a much stronger rig. Any help appreciated.

i'm back online too. so, do i need to stay on the p2p? not that it matters much, just wondering if solomining provides the same network support as pool mining? seems it would ... anyway, the coins are stacking nice, i'll keep it here a while

I guess just check the latency of the p2pool. Don't think it makes that big a difference if there is not a lot of competition. Thanks for helping Groggin. Monitoring the chain for a while, see what happens.

Okay guys.
After today's hiccup, we're back on track with okay hashing... But. We can't deny that the coin part of the experiment has been going downhill.
As much as I don't want to admit it, it is. I've got a nasty knot in my stomach just thinking about it. So many people have invested time, money and music with this project (respect). We aren't down and out. Still kicking. But we have to face the facts. The music side is doing well. New people are joining and we are enjoying making music (I am at least). But the coin side isn't.
A token that represents the community might be enough, but not initially. There needs to be an additional incentive for ownership to catalyse the network effect. We CAN relaunch the coin [more algorithms for miners, lower supply, etc], we CAN add merge mining and so forth, but it won't change that the coin part needs a lot of effort to make it worth holding. As many of you have said, we need to make it useful for something. That's difficult.
Frankly. I don't know what we can do. All the options take time, risk and resources. I unfortunately don't have a lot of them available.
I can ask: what can we do? Unfortunately I don't think there's an easy answer. It will all take effort. New experiments we have to try. The easiest way out is to buy us time, and liquidity. That means getting someone to inject money into the system... but try convincing any investor currently to buy FUNK... Uphill battle.
I've had so much fun so far with you guys. We must find a way to keep this going. Going to spend this weekend with some introspection and figure out some way we can tackle this.
