Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

To be fair, if you view financial forums there are some pretty hilarious trolls and "investors" behaving badly. This is the internet and it is uncensored.

Its like people who get mad at others swearing. If I say 'fuck' and you get get offended, I instantly think you're a fucking moron. Can't sugarcoat the internet.

But also don't feed trolls. That's like rule 2 or something.

This is the big thing. I've come in and out of the thread and just largely ignored it for the past few days because it's been filled with bullshit, but worse is that people are responding and furthering these discussions that are pointless.

The multipool purchase of blackcoin is done manually right?
Maybe whoever does the purchasing could maybe keep an eye out for this guy's big sell walls and relieve him of some of his coins? Might make him less likely to throw his weight around since the purchase is randomly done.

Automation process is either fully implemented now, or in the process of being finalized. With exit of the beta testing it will be live tomorrow.

Ah well. Whale's gonna' whale I suppose. That's great for the pool though.

EXPRESSCOIN- Lose 20% of your value before even getting coins?!?!Sounds great!

http://blocks.blackcoin.pw/address/BTdSzZBRn4wqiWgPzJtYuTgGRJB78NPfEd now holds over 60k BC for the BlackFriday promotion.

Thats a BIG promotion worth 4.2 btc at the moment and very probably a lot more during the promotion, wow what a community

All BC from this promotion will be spread to the miners on http://blackcoinpool.com/ after it will be launched tomorrow friday.

This is awesome! Do we have an estimated time when exactly the pool will go to version 1.0?

That's two full weeks of promo! If not more.

Two full weeks of bonusses to the miners.

That can be a LOT of buying power on BC from the pool alone ! Smiley

.What is Cloverdex platform?.

I think these 100k+BC should be used only for promotion and for development of BC instead of rewarding blackcoinmultipool miners. Looking at it longterm it should be more profitable than a few miners getting a few ten or hundred extra BC.

These donations have all been gathered for this sole purpose: to promote the multipool.

Yes, the whales should take their responsibility and identify themselves. Be fair - register right here in the forum with full name and postal address! I also ask to donate a fair share of your BC to every community member. Its just fair as it will promote the coin-distribution and boost confidence in Blackcoin! Come on guys - nobody needs so much cash!!

 Grin

I really love the optimism and all the activities and ideas of the community members here (even though I -sometimes- have to think the average age of many authors here is like ..15? Tongue)

Hi guys,

I'm very interested in BC but can't understand everything. Could you clarify, please ? Would be very grateful Smiley

1. Is there only 74 mil of BC right now right ? Why not 100 M ?
2. How this multipool will reward miners, that's why you donate to promote it ? (pay miners ? How much you will pay them if yes ? ) Won't they stop mining after you stop donations ?
3. There is very low network hashrate. Couldn't BC network be somehow attacked ?
4. I viewed 1 of last blocks. There was ~40BC POS for blockfounder. Where is that comes from ? (fees was 0 )

thanks!

Hi hellyeahent,

Welcome, let me answer your questions:

1. Block time is 1 minute. First 5000 blocks were POW. After block 5000, POS kicked in- so is POW+POS. After 10.000 blocks would be POS only. Every POW block generated 10.000 blackcoins. Total supply after 5000 blocks: 5000 * 10.000 = 50.000.000. After that, half of the blocks were POS, the other half were POW. So approximately 2500 more POW blocks = 25.000.000 supply, and approx. 2500 POS blocks = 1% (yearly) on that current supply. That's how come we are at ~ 74.4 million Smiley

2. The rewards will be in two ways: 1/ the bonusses, 2/ the increasing price. We hope that nobody in their right mind sells a coin (twice) that will be worth more the day after, and the day after.

3. BC is PoS only. The known vulnerability so far is if someone has 51% of the coins, or if someone can pre- compute the chain. Neither seem a threat.

4. 40 BC POS is generated by the system (part of the 1% annual compound interest). It's someone who has kept his wallet closed for a while. If you open your wallet, your coins will stake and generate BC/stake from POS block Smiley

Hope this answers your questions !
