Yes to sending 200 WOLF to Pompobit. Perhaps Togami should give him a call...
Yes on 200 sent to thesamson as well.

ANN thread is good as long as the most important info is kept up to date in the OP.
Agree with BlackMarket except I'd put website at #3. Blog, not needed.

East investors can only add to the insanity! Smiley

thanks kimosan, opting for twitter (active https://twitter.com/CoinInsanity ) + website (developing)
good, now let's create subreddit http://www.reddit.com/r/InsanityCoin
that address not exist now, take it Smiley

I'd rather the community did reddit/irc if they are so inclined, or else where Smiley feel free to start and moderate it

grabbing insanitycoin.com

what do we think of "wolfproject.org" for a general site encompassing the project?

It would be good to have a place to read all your updates, without needing to search for it between other messages. But I want to keep the other messages as well, as they have sometimes good tips, definitely during Sundays ;-).

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks! Problem is half of the time I can't post (some kind of error message), so most of the times I just don't bother trying any more to answer. But I read every single page of the forum Smiley

So much troubles with Poloniex... It's blocked the whole time since some days!

Yes, a little frustrating - I know the creator is very active and making changes, adding features and adding coins.. I think people are starting to use this exchange more and more, leading to typical growing pains many have. I'm working on the assumption that Tristan knows what he is doing and is getting everything in order, he certainly is very active and busy.

Update & Questions

We now have windows qt (Pompobit) and mac os qt (thesamson) maintainers, who have each released stable current versions of insanity coin. I would like to donate 400 WOLF to each of them from the supply, with an additional 200 WOLF to Pompobit, as he worked for days to fix Litecoins [ulr]https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/issues/111]issue 111[/url] for us, something which ensure we have a new stable wallet, and something nobody else has done yet that I'm aware of. If nobody objects with a fair reason, I will allocate and send the WOLF to them tomorrow.

As a community, is this ann thread enough to keep up to date with Insanity Coin? If not what community resources would you like? (twitter, subreddit, website, blog, all of the above?)

Finally, a quick heads up that investment from the east is coming to the project to purchase wolf, support translation and promotion, and support it longer term (long after the 9 week trading game / distribution phase), expect updates in due course.

Ann updated.

Best Regards and thanks for your support and interest so far.

I agree with you, they deserve a tip!  Wink

Insanity Sunday - Week 1 Results

Summary

  • Total Pot: 79.52639466 BTC
  • Total Acquired: 43940.88047998 WOLF
  • Percentage Acquired Back: 55.25% of WOLF sold.
  • Average Price: 80.98% over base (0.001809845 BTC)
  • Maximum Price: 125% over base (0.00225 BTC)
  • Minimum Price: 45% over base (0.00145 BTC)
  • Market Activity: ~$85,000 USD (134 BTC @ $630)
  • Peak Market Cap: $1,273,100 USD (((987947.27558637 /11)*10)*0.00225)*630
  • Trade List: http://5.9.111.71/results/w1/trades.csv

Developer Feedback:

I honestly expected to be getting 25%-30% back with an average price of 0.003 / max 0.005 today. I was pleasantly surprised I managed significantly better.

I was amazed that people kept making each others bids cheaper. I thought most would have realised that if one person decides to go lower the best thing you can do is go higher, then they are left by themselves with no support.  I made this clear through the week, yet still everybody went lower even with additional BTC in the pre-pump, and a known pot of almost 80 BTC coming in minutes or hours.

For wolf and the pack long term, the most efficient model is "free wolf", buy 100, sell 50 for original investment = 50 free wolf, this forces exponential purchase of wolf, the faster it runs out, the faster it's a normal market with guaranteed bumps and no fixed supply available. This also maximises profit long term for the individual.
Mid way is as above but with reinvestment in to wolf, driving your overall purchase price down and wolf balance up ( 100+( 50*8 ) = 500 WOLF for 0.1 BTC with a value of 0.5 BTC, 400% profit over base, real profit probably xxxx%).
Short term and the lowest profit, but most guaranteed on a per week basis is the individual strategy sell everything each week for btc profit. This still benefits the pack as it's destroyed, lowering the coins in circulation making each single wolf worth more, but does reduce every bodies profit overall, most significantly the one with this individual strategy.

This is the only week I'll give feedback, various strategies have been discussed in my previous posts.

Other Updates
  • new stable windows-qt client ready for tomorrow (thanks pompobit!)
  • new stable mac client ready for tomorrow (thanks the samson)

Coin Destruction
Total to Destroy: 43940.88047998
destroyed: 363.36363636
destroyed: 39946.5277091
destroyed: 3630.98913454

You can see the money supply decreasing here, here, and again here

i made anywhere from 80% to 100% on my investment. but i expect it to be a lot tighter this sunday! last sunday paid the people who believed from the start and now people know its legit the margins will be tighter. but profit is profit and this is a great idea for a coin. the interesting bit will be the last week and what happens after

Could somebody explain this more clear:
If I do a single big bump, the most likely scenario is that another trader buys up the book first, placing their order at the top to be bought to maximize that single traders profit, and nobody else's.

flo_k, it simply means that if I say in advance that I will be placing one order only on insanity sunday (an order which would fill the first 100 BTC of sell orders), then there is only really one strategy available to you wolves. This is why I mix things up each week

mini update
Caught up on orders that came in over night. Bounties to maintainers Pompobit and thesamson paid, thanks again for the great work compiling the QTs.

BTC Pot is at 40.5, with another 25-30 pending from a longer term investor.

Online from here on bitcointalk, email, twitter (@CoinInsanity)

when you say longer term investor do you mean a sit and holder? because 25k - 30k missing from the trading scene could make interesting scenarios on sunday lol

yes, others are already holding, and one investor also taking a further 5000 per week. 25%+ of all WOLF sold is being held longer term (more than 9 weeks), this percentage will go up I'm sure.

flo_k, it simply means [...]

I understand the principle, but I wanted to understand the terms you used, because I'm a beginner in trading and, at the same time, English is not my native language.
So, I guess that the "big bump" means that you put a sell wall (because I know that you are aiming to lower the price), but I don't understand how this could lead to "another trader buys up the book first" and, on the other hand, how could he maximize his profit by selling at lower price (if this is the meaning of "placing their order at the top" ).
I read that sentence 100 times, but I'm still confused
Ok, no problem.

Just so you all know who you're dealing with here, InsanityDev came onto my announcement thread today (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=486595.msg5412210#msg5412210). He blatantly lied and talked bad about my coin and my dev team, two things that he knows nothing about, in some lame attempt to promote his coin. Think twice about the dirty tactics this guy uses before you send him any money.

thanks for the info. InsanityDev gets more points in my book for this.

it seems like you have a cloned coin and concept. This is fine.  Your ipo is not fine, since it is missing some critical info, like what you do with the btc received. You are guilty until proven innocent. Now, please focus on your "ipo" and leave this thread quickly.

thanks.
